Do you need ressie's for Trail's End?

I was wondering if you actually need to make reservations for Trail's End. My 180 day mark was today so we made our reservations but this one I was curious about.

Has anyone had problem's sitting down to eat ...lunch or dinner?

there is usually a wait, if you don't want to wait 30-45 min, make a ressie

If you like to eat around 5 pm theres not a problem, but the crowd builds fast after that. Its always safe to make a reservation.

We got in just fine everytime we tried for dinner or lunch, but breakfast we didn't get into. It was a 45 min. wait around 9am.

It must differ because we walked into breakfast a couple of weeks ago with no wait. I would make ressies to be safe. We couldn't get in for dinner one night.

If you're going during a busy time, I would make reservations, otherwise, it's normally not that long of a wait.

This past trip we walked in for both breakfast and lunch. We didn't try dinner because last year we waited an hour and a half at 8pm.

We had a wait when we went there, but nothing horrible. The kids just went to the play ground.

We went during spring break , breakfast was an hour and a half wait. We decided to grab something when we got to Epcot, this was around 9:00ish. Last October there were no waits for any of our meals. So it's going to vary depending on the crowds. I say grab an ADR if you know what time you will eat. We do a lot of "winging it" these days.

We haven't eaten at TE in many years -- not a big fan, but it always looks crowded around dinner time.

Depends on what time of the year you will be there. In January we walked right in any time of the day.

Colson has had the same experience as us. In peak travel times (spring break, summer high, Christmas-New Years) you probably need a ressie. I try to travel off-peak and TE has not needed a ressie (waits less than 15 minutes). Or if you can go a little earlier or later than normal meal times there's no wait. We like breakfast and lunch: breakfast on the day we are leaving after packing up the pup and lunch as the big meal of the day with a light supper since it is cheaper at lunch.

180 days from now is mid-October; shouldn't be a problem. TE is IMO the best value on the property for a buffet if you are hungry. No characters but a nice atmosphere and good food.

Trails End buffet is now $18.99 for dinner. I'll do breakfast or lunch but it ain't worth $20.

Thanks everyone for your input.

I made ressies for our arrival day. After a long drive, setting up the campsite, and building up a good appetite, I don't want to wait for dinner.

The other days in which we may eat there for breakfast, we'll wing it.

We're going in October so I hope we're fine.

My lunch there a couple weeks ago was pretty good. I usually get the salad bar and pulled pork. They had quite a selection of veggies and desserts.
