Do you need internet to use MDE app in the parks?

I know this is probably a stupid question as I would presume you would need internet of some sort to use the app but I just wanted to double check if it ran on park wifi or something similar like the DCL app does??

I've just been trying to work out how we will use the app if we don't have wifi as we are coming from Australia and weren't going to purchase data packages for our phones. Will we not be able to access it while in the parks, which means we can't change anything?

WiFi everywhere. Should be in your hotel room, too. Probably on the plane (for a fee).

So there's wifi in the parks? That's good. We are fine for everywhere else, I just wanted to know how I could make changes to Fast Passes etc. Thank you

Yes, in July we found the Wifi to be very good pretty much everywhere we went.
