Thanks for all the prayers and wishes everyone. I am happy to report that THEY WORKED!!!
We got a call at 12:15am that they had run the tube into Magic's stomach and bowels and relieved all of her gas and bloat. They determined that the twist was at the top of the stomach, near the esophogas. As the vet was talking to Chris (I wasn't taking calls - I just couldn't take it), she said they were prepping Magic for surgery to turn the stomach.
We tried to wait up, but were so tired from 4 hours of sleep, then the long drive, we crashed about 1:15am. At 1:50am, the vet called to say the surgery was successful and Magic was already up walking around!!
Another call at 6am from the vet saying that Magic is doing great and we are really lucky that we caught this so early. Dad picked her up at 6:30 and had her at the kennel doing great. At 8, he took her to the local vet for observation and antibiotics.
So again, thoughts and prayers worked. Katie, Chris and I were all in tears last night. Very tiring and emotional. But we are so glad that we were able to save our Magic Monkey Poo.
