Our trip in September will be our first WDW trip stroller free as a family. Yay! My kiddos will be 6 and 9 and I am not expecting them to carry a bag of their own (not because they can't but I don't want to have to keep track of it). I have a cross body bag that works great for holding all our park stuff but it will dig into my neck eventually and I don't want to carry that all day, not bad when I could throw it over the stroller handle and wear it when away from stroller.
A regular back pack doesn't appeal to me because I think it will be hot and bulky so I am thinking of purchasing a sling backpack.
Things I need to carry, 4 ponchos, 4 pairs of extra socks, small medicine bag with tylenol, bandaids etc., portable phone charger, couple small snacks, phone, money. A water bottle or spray fan.
I prefer water resistant in case of rain or water rides and a secure or hidden pocket for money.
Do you have a sling backpack that you love or hate?
