I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE KIMONOS in the Swan! They have wonderful sushi and the Karayoki is a blast! (mmmmm...... the Mexican roll is YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY IN MY TUMMY!) My hubby and I go there at least once, every time we go to Disney (about every few months.) But I never see anyone mention it on here. Am I the only Kimonos lover???

I do, yummy sushi. We have never been disappointed here. I am dying to try Tokyo Dining though. Have you seen the menu and the pictures? Here is a link to the DISboard Menus

We tried Kimonos for the first time about two weeks ago. While I'm still fairly new to sushi, I thought it was quite good and I was really impressed by their extensive menu. We definitely plan on going back during future visits.

I am such a cheapo. Since I have the DDE card, I keep trying other restaurants that accept it rather than the restaurants that don't. I am a HUGE sushi fan, so I am just going to have to splurge and try it. I keep hearing too many good things!

I am a DDE member too, but I still make sure I visit Kimonos on every trip! It's worth the few extra $$. Actually it really doesn't cost a crazy amount of money. My hubby and I share a few rolls and it's no different that any other sushi place price wise.

If anyone here is a DVC member, Kimonos was offering a 20% discount on the meal (alcohol not included) with your DVC card when we were there two weeks ago. I think it's a new member perk. :thumbsup2

I do love Kimono's but are they still smoking there as I cannot do the eating while people are smoking thing. This is not a bashing smoking thread it is just that when you are use to eating in smokefree establishments, it is difficult to go back to eating while others are smoking..

When I was Italy, it was tough and they are all still smoking there. And they immediately know you are Americans when you sort of stiffen up a bit when they light up.

Anyway, I have not been back to Kimono's for a while as the last time I had to put my clothes in a plastic bag, tie it up and stick it in my luggage till I got home, it was that bad. I do love the Karaoke though.. love it.

While I'm not a sushi eater on a recently adult only trip we stopped in there for drinks one night. The Island Punch was delicious!

You've never seen how much sushi my DH and I can put away. :scared1: It is kind of gross! We get in a "sushi frenzy!"

I did see the prices were in line with other sushi restaurants, but when you factor in food and booze, I am always drawn to saving that 20% when and where I can.

I am sure I will get there eventually...the lure of good sushi always wins out in the end!:thumbsup2

we love Kimonos, good sushi, great drinks, and the Karayoki is so much fun to watch....

I am not a huge sushi fan (I can't eat too much rice), but DH is, and he is VERY picky about the standards under which it is prepared (ie he would NEVER stoop to food store sushi, and only goes to sushi restaurants that he knows are good and clean).
That being said, he thought it was fantastic and was very impressed. It must have been 2004 when we went, as I tried the chocolate martini (very strong, not to my taste). I thought the sushi was great too, but I stick with safer stuff (cucumber rolls) and he goes for things with eel and stuff.
It was also cool getting to see the Swan, as we had never been there before.

We LOVE Kimonos!!!!!! We try to go everytime we are down (we usually stay at either Swan or Dolphin). I really like when a convention is in town and watching those guys sing :rotfl2:!! Great sushi, great drinks and the service is wonderful.

It is our first dinner planned when we go down in a few weeks, I can't wait:yay:
