Most DVDs these days allow you to watch the movie while listening the audio commentary of the director or one of the actors. Last weekend, Mandy and I watched Apollo 13 three times; once with the normal soundtrack, once with Astronaut Jim Lovell's audio commentary and finally with director Ron Howard's audio commentary .
The audio commentarys added so much to the film. They made what was already a fantastic movie even better. However, when I mentioned this to someone at work, they told me they never bothered to listen to the added audio commentarys because they were always boring. Granted, some audio commentarys are pretty bad, but many are worth listening to. For example, The Willy Wonka audio commentary that features all the kids from the original cast (now grown) talking about what it was like to film the movie back then is a lot of fun. Debbie Reynold's commentary on the Singing the Rain DVD is really good too.
So, do you listen to the added audio commentarys on your DVDs? If so, are there any that you really enjoyed?
