Do You Like to Eat?

Hi,

I'm going for a job interview tomorrow at 0800. It's the first in years. I'm obviously going to wear a suit and tie. It's going to be a temporary job for me, but it gets money in. I have had pretty prestigious jobs in the past.

I'm trying to figure out if the right way to go is praising the executive chef's food, or reviewing it. Again, I have experience, but I have to walk a fine line.

No big deal. It sounds like you know what it's like to work in a kitchen. Things happen. We are in the best of times and the worst of times . Like I said, it would have been very temporary only.

EDIT: This really would be very temporary and probably low-paying, but I love to cook and a little more money would be OK. Bigger things ahead!

...yes indeed....and my youngest DS is a server at Chefs de France....he's been in the food service industry for 10 years now and he's only 26! [Also worked for 2-1/2 years at Grand Lux Cafe...]

Thanks. Yep, only 1939 hours, but going to sleep. The people there only wear shorts and T-Shirts, But I'll be wearing chef pants and chef jacket. Hakuna Matata! By the way, God willing, different uniform, different profession.

Hey... this may not be my place, but if you have kids.... tell them don't ever give up. I did for a long time, and still not there yet.

You just made me laugh. Those are SO OUT OF STYLE! Now just black pants with a chef's jacket.

And, to let everyone down, I have to say, I was done after 20 minutes. The kitchen was filthy. I won't push food out in an unsanitary place. If I wouldn't take my wife to dinner somewhere, I wouldn't do more to someone else.

Ok, though. Too bad, so sad. As I stated above, Bigger and better to come

And you know what? I found a turkey in the freezer. Tomorrow I'm going to make it reminiscent of Liberty Tevern. Maybe not so reminiscent. Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and sweet potato casserole.
