We love Biergarten, and it is a great place to bring a group. We love the band too. We have brought 2 German foreign exchange students (on different trips) to the restaurant, and it is their favorite place. They always want to go back.

My DD (5) ties it with Princess meals for her favorite restaurant at WDW. She has felt that way since she was 3. It is a must do for us.

We plan on going here in August. These foods are fimilar to us as we are of german heritage. I hope the entertainment is going on during our ADR.

We dined at Biergarten last week. To be honest, it was one of our least favorite dining experiences in all of our visits. The food was okay. There was a decent variety for me since I enjoy the cuisine. However, the quality was nto very good. My son really didn't like much of anything there either.

The band was very entertaining, but part of our disappointment was from the people seated wtih us. The couple that sat across from us did not engage in any conversation or even barely look at the rest of the table. It made for a not-so-pleasant meal. Unfortunately when travelling in a small party, this is a crap shoot and we got 'snake eyes'.

With that said, I always recommend that you give it a shot to see for yourself. With a different atmosphere and a big group of people, we would have definitely enjoyed ourselves more, but for now, we will try out some new restaurants before considering a return.

We love the food. The seating arrangement for us sometimes does not work out that great. We are a family of 5. When the kids were young 1, 3 and 5 we would sometimes be seated with just another couple. Usually, by dinner time my children were kind of tired and cranky, and these people would have to sit and listen to my kids during their dinner. Obviously, it probably bothers me more than it did them. Now that they are older, I might find it less stressful. I like German food and the atmosphere! Great place.

I had been there once prior to our last trip. Enjoyed it enough. Took the family last trip at DH's request. They loved it. In fact, I have to make ADRs on the 18th so I asked my DS7 if there's any one restaurant where he wants to eat and Biergarten was his choice. :)

Make sure you schedule your time so you can see the band. It's a lot of fun. And the restaurant is dark and COOL! Makes for a great respite from the FL heat.

This is my favorite TS I have ever been to at WDW!

DH and I fell in love with Biergarten on our July 2008 trip, and decided it was a must-do again on our July 2010 trip. We had dinner there on both trips. Both times we had our kids with us (2 boys, who are now 6 and almost 4). In July 2010, my parents, sister and nieces all joined us as well and everyone loved it there. We are all planning another WDW trip for July 2012 and everyone already said we have to go back there. We all love German food, the entertainment was terrific, service was great, and the beer sampler is excellent! The kids loved the music and they were dancing. We got lots of great pics of them! We were a party of 10 last July and they put us at one table. In July 2008, it was just 4 of us, and we sat with a very nice gentleman and his 8-year-old daughter. The other 2 seats at the table remained empty. Both experiences there was wonderful! :thumbsup2

Love it!:lovestruc

I was there as a kid and just returned there on our last trip. We had a party of 9, our family and our friends, so we had our own table. I think this is a big plus, especially if you don't feel comfortable sitting with others. If we were shy or weren't social, I don't think I would want to eat there and take the chance that some other group could ruin our meal.

The food was good; our kids are picky and there was plenty of basic foods for them to eat and they ate well there.

The floor show was so much fun and really entertaining for the kids. They danced like crazy and were sweaty messes, but happy!:dance3::woohoo: The kids said this was one of their favorite meals and requested it for the next trip.:yay: The band was fun for adults too and I would enjoy the meal even if I didn't have the kids with me.:thumbsup2

DH and his friend's favorite part of the meal were the beers that came in a glass the size of my 2 y.o. DD!:drinking1:cloud9:

Not a huge fan. The food overall was very heavy and fatty, and not as good as what I've had in Austria (German and Austrian cuisine are very similar).

We love the Biertgarten it is our first night place to eat! Really great food. Now have to wait to Dec 29!

I am a super picky eater and still love the Biergarten. There always seems to be enough selection that I have a lot to pick from, even while picking around all the things I don't like.

Thank you for all the replies. Looks like we will be eating at Biergarten!

I believe you will enjoy it for the food and the entertainment. Let us know how you enjoyed it, or didn't, after you return from your visit.

Love Biergarten! We have eaten their 10-12 times. Food has always been wonderful (espicially the beer, love Spaten). The only situation that makes one trip less enjoyable than the other, was the people you are seated with. Never have had a "bad" experience, but some folks are more sociable than others. We've also done Biergarten as part of the Candlelight Processtional during the holidays, WONDERFUL. Hope you have fun and enjoy it!

I voted no. The food wasn't all that for me, nothing I had to go back for. The entertainment was fun and it was good to experience, but nothing we even talk about going back to.

Now, we went with some teens one year and they ate their almost every day....so it was probably just our taste in food. Also, the communal seating isn't really our thing....I don't like making small talk with people, etc.
