Nope. Open water of any kind is not for me. My DH likes to boat, fish, water ski, scuba dive etc. and discovered pretty early on water just isn’t my thing. I don’t even like pools or hot tubs.

Depth doesn't matter to me, but darkness does. I need to see what is around me. I love swimming in pools. Ocean water needs to be clear for me to swim in it. Lakes totally freak me out. On a ship or boat, I'm good in any water.

I generally prefer pools to natural bodies of water. However, if I do swim at the beach or even in Lake Michigan, I really do prefer to be out deep enough where I can't touch. I am afraid of things that are lingering on the bottom that I may step on. I have been this way for as long as I can remember.

I don't know about too dark or too deep though!
