..what types do you like the best and what are your favourite toppings?

Yes! My all time favorite is spinach with melted Slender American cheese! YUM!

I love just about any bagel flavor expect egg. Bah!

I love blueberry, apple cinnamon, strawberry lightly toasted, crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, with nothing on top! Just plain and hot with a cup of Almond Jave Coffee! Yum!

And I like my bagels to be as big as the one in your picture!

OOooooo....YES! when I go completely off my diet......

I'd KILL for a GOOD Onion Bagel....with the full fat...100% Philly Cream Cheese on it!!!!


LOL!...I guess 'onion' is my fav!.....

They are also good with some turkey bacon...a fried egg....and a slice of tufo cheese!

THE issue is the size of the bagel! what you get at a 'drive thur'.....or if you buy the 'large' frozen ones....they represent like 3 Times the "serving"!!! .....I go with a standard 'lenders' bagel...as that is a 'single' serving size!

I am a purist when it comes to bagels. my uncle was a traditional bafel/bialy baker. I prefer traditional bagels, including plain, onion, garlic, sesame, poppy, salt, egg, pumpernickel amd "everything." you know, something that suitable for cream cheese and lox. occasionally I have been known to eat a cinnamon raisin bagel, but that's really more like a sweet roll to me. the flavors Saffron mentioned -- those aren't "real" bagels.

that BR will agree with me here - but the best bagels are NY bagels!!! Accept for one place in North Jersey - I have not had a good bagel like in NY!!! But I guess my favourite would be Seseme with either Butter, Cream Cheese or Cream Cheese and Tomatoe!!!

what makes me laugh is that bagels are not longer "ethnic." not only does everyone eat them, but you can find them in the supermarket, and even the bagel shops aren't necessarily ethnic anymore.

Of course, some of the "bagels" sold in the grocery stores or bagel shops around the country would be unrecognizable to your uncle as being bagels. LOL!

I love McDonald's steak/egg bagel (NO CHEESE). Those are sooooooo good. At home, I buy the onion bagels. I'll eat them toasted by themselves or I'll fry an egg and eat an egg bagel.

Sara Lee's loaded bagels are good too.

No cream cheese on my bagels though.

Plain with lots and lots of Brumble & Brown Blissfully Blueberry yogurt spread! YUM!! (The strawberry also wonderful.)
