Do you know what this ride is called in Epcot?

Several years back when we went to WDW, there was a ride in Epcot that you got in a little car and you got to pick between 3 or 4 different movies to play, everyone in your car had their own button they could press to pick it. I'm horrible at describing it, but it was my favorite ride back in the days, does anyone know what it was and if it is still open? We're going there for our honeymoon and I'd love to show the wife the ride.

Thanks,

I don't remember for sure what it was called, was it world of motion??? Anyways, it was in the building that is now Test Track. It was a ride that we also enjoyed... sorry that this wasn't better news.
Good news is, you'll like test track... although you don't get to enter any choices of your own... it still keeps in you involved.

Horizons. It's closed now and Test Track is in it's place.

Well, it was Horizons, but Mission: Space is there now, not Test Track. That's what replaced World of Motion. I think everybody's getting tongue tied over all the new attractions (and deceased attractions) in that area! HTH!

Glad someone asked that question. I told my DS (12) about it, because it was my fav. ride there and probably still would be, if they hadn't taken it out. :( I wasn't sure if it was Horizons or World of Motions. It's been a long time. After a while, they all kind of run together. ;) Now I know what to tell him. Wish I could find some info. that could explain it to him better than I could. Thanks for clearing it up for us. :D

::yes:: Agreeing with WDWAurora.
Horizons was one of our favorites. When it went away, Mission Space was the replacecment in that space.
It began with a look at how people in the past thought the 20th century would look. Then you entered the future and looked at the environments that members of one family lived in - a farm in the desert, a Space Colony, an Underwater development. After seeing all those, you got to push buttons to choose where your car would go. What ever the majority of people in your car pushed was your destination. That started a short movie and some simulated movement in your own car.
We loved that ride. It was one of our favorites.

Horizons was my favorite at Epcot. I am not sure why they could not have done MS and TT and kept the other 2.. Its not like WDW has limited land.

Anyway, I did not think MS just replaced Horizons. I thought they had shut it down and the building sat empty for many years before they decided on a new system.

I was there in 1992 and in 1997 and Horizons was closed then. It could have been a refirb, but I was underthe impression that it was gone for good.

I made my family ride it 3 times in a row so we could see the three different movies.

Does the land boat ride have one of the old hover speeders on it. It seems like I saw it back in 2000. But I could be crazy. I have not been on the land since.

You're right, it did shut down way before, after losing GE's sponsorship. But basically it was exactly where M:S is now, so that's why we say it replaced it.

..if we can dream it, then we can do it -- yes we can"

My favorite part was the orange grove where you smelled oranges! I LOVED that ride!

I am probably gonna get flamed for this but...

I hate Mission:SPACE...it's more like Mission:PUKE...Horizons should not have been replaced by this.

Bellhop, well said!!! I have extreme motion sickness so I don't even try the thrill junk. Everytime they get rid of a slow, dark ride I feel SOOOOO sad!! I too wish they could add new stuff without taking away the old classics. Everytime I see that rumor about SSE going away I want to cry!

A couple months ago I bought some DVD's of old WDW attractions. One of those was Horizons. It's the complete ride thru. It's wonderful to see it again. I also got If you had wings, The original Imagination, and World of motion. If you want the address where I bought them, send me a PM.

Well, I guess I just had it all backwards!!! Thanks for all the right information :hyper:
