Do you know what the 2005 WDW "theme" will be?

Another thread just got me to thinking...has anyone heard what the next year's theme of the parks will be?

I know starting in May 2005, they will be celebrating Disneyland's 50th anniversary even in Disney World, if that answers the question! A new ride, Expedition Everest, should be complete by then in the Animal Kingdom with a talking audio-animatronic dinosaur. And I think there's a new daytime parade in Magic Kingdom!

I'm just recalling this from memory.

Thanks, but I'm not sure if the DW theme for 2005 will also be related to Disneyland's anniversary. I don't know, 2 parks celebrating the same, who knows, maybe. I guess we'll all see soon enough.

Yes, WDW will be celebrating DL's 50th including the castle being done up similar to the b-day cake it was in 96-97.

By the way, Expedition Everest will not be open by May, 2005. We'll be lucky to see Soarin' open by then!

Yes, WDW will be celebrating DL's 50th including the castle being done up similar to the b-day cake it was in 96-97.

I can't imagine them doing that again, especially with all the problem it will cause with their Fairytale weddings...they had to put stained glass into a window in the wedding pavilion last time to hide that atrocity...I'm hoping you were joking on that...

They will be celebrating at WDW, but I doubt that will be the "theme." I consider the theme to be the phrases like "Capture the Magic" etc.

Some ways that the WDW parks will be celebrating is through the "gifts" they will be receiving from Disneyland.

MK-A new stage show in front of the castle.
Epcot-Soarin'
MGM-The auto stunt show
AK-NOT Everest, that isn't scheduled until 2006, but actually Lucky, the free moving audio-animatronic dinosaur that was originally supposed to come to AK a few years ago, but it stayed at DL after a few trials and will now finally be making its way to its real home.

YES, DL and I will be celebrating our 50th together. The celebration is to begin May 2005. This celebration will be at ALL of the Disney parks. Yes I can't wait as I share the same birthday as Disneyland!!! I will be in WDW the first week of May to mark our celebration. All of the parks will have something new except Everist is not due to open until spring 2006. Soaring is suppose to kick off the celebration.

I dunno if i would call the castle goofy, cheesy yes. But its a part of history to have the 50th birthday cake picture. They wont do this at DL will they?

Oh I hope not, at first I thought it was kinda neat but the more I saw it the Pepto Bismal pink the more I hated it....but that is just my opinion

I think it is just the castle at DL that will be "decorated" not Cinderella's Castle at WDW. I hope that is the case, as I was not a big fan of the "pepto pink" castle!
