Do you know someone who has been on a reality show?

I know two moms from A Baby Story - they both live in my town.

A guy I work with, his dad is on Dinner:Impossible
A couple of people I know have tried out for shows like American Idol and America's got talent. And a few people from my school were on a surfing show on MTV2

I don't but I almost did:upsidedowMy husband was chosen to be on "Worst Case Scenario" He was actually called w/ a taping date. However it was right after 911, so he turned it down. The show didn't last long anyway.

I didn't personally know her, but the runner-up Sarah from Joe Millionaire went to high school with me. If you remember, she was the one who took Joe Millionaire into the woods for some "fun."

The family featured in TLC's "One Big Happy Family" lives in our neighborhood. It was fun to watch and say, "That is our pool! That's our street!" etc.

yes my girlfriend and her family did "Wife Swap" it was a horrible experience for them. the only reason they did it was for the large amount of money they were paid. otherwise they might have lost their home. things are better financially for them now, and she said they would never do it again!

Just had to add that my nephew is a carpenter on "The Ugliest House on the Block"

One of my classmates was on Beauty and the Geek as a beauty. We weren't friends but had a graduating class of about 150 so we had a lot of classes together. It aired during our sophomore (?) year of college so my graduating class bonded over a facebook group talking about how she was doing!

Trading Spaces came to our town a few years ago but we didn't know the actual neighbors.

My best friend's step-sister was on Survivor (Lisa from Vanuatu).

I met the couple from Wife Swap who owned the swamp tour business (Diego and Diana Loupe, but I never met ZZ), but it was several years before they were on the show.

I have an acquaintance who made the top 12 in a season of American Idol, and went to high school with a girl on America's Next Top Model.

Bianca Ryan (the little girl who won the first season of America's Got Talent) lives a block below Mom's house, and a girl who lives a block above my Mom's house was kicked off of American Idol last year for being a plant (Joanna Pacitti). I keep telling my Mom she should sign up for a talent show :lmao:

My husband used to play racquetball with Rudy from Survivor when we were stationed in VA. He said he's a great guy and in fabulous shape for someone his age.

My best friend's cousin was on Survivor. I kept joking ...wouldn't it be funny if he got voted off first? HE WAS!!

I think reality shows will stop when people stop watching them.

I knew one of the chef's on one of the chef shows. She owned the restaurant across the street from a studio I worked at four years ago. No idea what they show was, though. She was nice and got a lot of evil fan mail and she said if she had ANY idea, she would have turned it down.

One of the studios where I worked shot the one reality show where the people living in the house was secluded. I don't watch them so I don't know which one it was...the one with airplanes flying notes to the people living in the house...anyway, I hated it. When they were on a shooting schedule, security was tighter than usual and it made it harder to work each day.

I worked with someone whose dd and her fiance were on Jerry Springer...turns out her was married to someone else etc. Surely drama galore. I really felt bad for the mom, not only was her dd on the show that turned into a brawl but her son was convicted several years ago of a heinous murder with a friend of his. Just totally strange. I really thought her life could have been a reality show.

Yes, I friend of mine was on Survivor. It's interesting to hear him talk about how it works.

Katie Stevens (from this season of American Idol) lives about 10 minutes or so from me, I don't know her personally, but there are banners and signs to vote for her all over town and the surrounding towns.

Wow, it's really interesting how many of us know people on reality shows...esp the Real World and American Idol people. That reminds me, the town I live in is very small and rinky dink. Heather Cox (I think she was on the same year as Chris Daughtry and she made it to the top 12). I don't know her, but one of DD16s friends is her cousin. I saw her (Heather) in Walmart once. She is a beautiful girl.

Speaking of Pawn Stars. I grew up/went to school with the two younger guys. I also heard a girl from high school was on Dr. 90210.
