I've just never thrown these away...I will have to admit it is rather fun looking them over and daydreaming I'm somewhere in the parks then visualizing all the excitement of being there, especially right after we've left our vacation or the weeks leading up to the next trip (like now).

But its those of you with older maps that show rides that are long since departed...1) do you still have them and 2)is the nostalgia of Mr. Toad and others rides or shows enjoyable to re-live?

I still have the maps and tickets from are honeymoon. It's been 10 years in Oct. they are packed away with the pictures.

We have maps for the DD and the DS (10 and 8) to play Disney with. They will sit and look at the maps planning a day at the park. They have learned so much that we we are at the park they know were everything is including restrooms. Between trips they wear them out and we have to get knew ones as soon as we get there. They spend hours daydreaming of being in the parks. Our DS is always that map and program carrier.

I have kept all the maps from all of our trips. I think I take more and more maps with each trip. I love looking at them when I need a disney fix. :flower:

We keep our maps too ! Most of them I save in our Disney memory bags.. and some I have used for the kids projects at school, Like when my son had to do a memory book.. we did "Our Disney Vacation 01" we combined pictures, and cut outs from a couple of the maps, each page had it's own "park" reference. The Animal Kingdom page came out nice... with the lions & trees.... it was cool ! :teacher:

I have a 30"x36" map poster on my wall. It lists Mr Toad, the Skyway, etc

We save everything from past trips to WDW and scrapbook them. Park maps and guides, napkins, tickets and receipts. It is wonderful to go back and relive all the magic from previous trips to Disney.

We sure do. They are part of our memory books. Plus the kids all ways circle what they saw/rode on the trip. It gives everyone something to look back on and smile. It also works out great when discussing what we want to do on the new trip.

indeed we keep out maps...I'm a pack rat so everyone I've ever gotten I put into this pocket inside my suit case so everytime i use the suit case I see them and say "OH I REMEMBER THAT NOW!" hahaha. I also take the ones with the different languages for fun :sunny:

I keep almost all of our stuff from Disney trips: maps, receipts, Keys to the World, etc.

I have park maps from '92, '93, '95, '98, '00, '01, '02, '03, '04 and soon '05! It is neat to go back and look and see what used to be and what has become. I love the guidemaps from '92...they were like mini-books!

we still do have them but they are lost in all the rubbish in the house
:(
:P

I have a lot of stuff from WDW from our many trips starting from the late 70s.
I must say that they are less precious now that there is so much stuff available (including the web). :earsboy:

I always make a scrapbook of all of my Disney trips sp I keep maps, tickets, etc. it's fun to look back on them.

I always save the park maps and put them in the photo album that I do for each trip. I also include tickets, resort cards, etc. It is nice when looking through the photos to see the maps that went along with that trip. :flower:

Yes, I collect them too! I tell myself that I'm just being practical, and that looking at them will help me plan the next trip, but the truth is that having something that used to be at WDW helps to make me reconnect to that feeling of being there myself.

I also have trouble throwing out the plastic bags that you get from the shops. I'm not proud of myself for this.

:earsboy:

I wished I had saved a (MK) park map from 1975. There was such a map from that era in the MGM One Man;s Dream exhibit, I tried to photograph it and it came out so-so.

It was spring break in 1975 and I was passing through up from Miami and the keys and thought, why not spend just part of a day at Disney World. I wasn't "into" WDW and was just thinking of it as "another amusement park"
