talk in abbervations?

I DO! I was thinking about this with the PotC threads...I call it PotC(pronounced pot-c) sometime...but that all started when on our 1997 my mom made a spreadsheet and I said-WHAT THE HECK IS A POT-C? lol

and then my mom and I are trying to get out of the habit of calling the parks by abbervations(as in AK and MK)

ok are my mom and I the only weird ones that do this?

(I know I do more than that but it's late and I haven't slept yet and I'm cracking up while i'm typing this...lol)

LOL! I know I will be probably be calling it Pot-C from now on. ;)

Last week I realized I spend too much time typing on these boards. I was sorting socks and saying to myself, "mine, kids, mine, kids" etc...as I put them in piles. When I came to DH's socks I said to myself "DH". ;)

Well, Jules, I do know in some of your pm's to me, I have had to ask you what you meant by some of your "code", LOL. :p

My husband sent me an email that said "AK Pictures" I thought, oh, cool, Animal Kingdom pictures!!!

They were Alaska pictures  ;)

When talking about either work or WDW, I do all the time. Of course at work almost every project is an abbreviation so it's natural to speak in abbreviations for me. We call Pirates POT-C all the time.

My mom always calls the parks "AK" or "MK" instead of Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom...it annoys me but then I do it, too. And I keep getting mad at her because she's scrapbooking our WDW trip from last summer, and she's writing everything in abbreviations...if anyone outside of our family looks at our photo albums, they're going to get really confused!

Nope, not that I can think of. Here on the DIS boards I TYPE in abbreviation, but in real conversation, I think I speak the whole thing out.

Yes, and it's rubbed off on my niece and nephew. I've told them in the future I'm going to take them to Islands of Adventure. And now they keep reminding me of how I'm gonna take them to IOA.

I don't talk that way, other than some commonly-abbreviated ones like TTC & TTA. I do find it annoying when I have to write out M-A-G-I-C K-I-N-G-D-O-M, etc, to non-WDW freaks when online. I don't really use "POTC" online, except in that thread where we chose LOTR vs POTC. I call the ride "Pirates."

All the time. I have to for work, so it's hard to get out of the habit.

sometimes but I have had to explain that DBF means dear boyfriend

i nvr us comp wrds n sntncs. i alws abbv!!!!!

But seriously, I think I abbreviate too much!
