Do you hook a backpack on your EVC

I find the basket's on the EVC to be small. So this year I am thinking of taking my backpack and hooking it to the back of the seat. Has anyone ever did that, I am also thinking about just putting the backpack between my feet.

I like to know how you carry your backpack while using an EVC.

That is how I carry my backpack on my scooter for school and Disney. I just slip the straps on the seat. It really does work well. If the backpack has a chest strap you could fasten that too to keep it on if you feel better. I have not had any issue with it falling off without the chest strap though.

When I travel through an airport I will have my backpack, filled with medical supplies, hooked to the back of the seat. I also have the charger in its pouch on the back of the seat. I put my computer case in the basket.

When I board the aircraft I put the charger in the basket and remove the basket, putting both in a shopping bag, so when I board the plane I have the backpack with medical stuff, the computer case, and the shopping bag with the ECV basket and chargerf.

My old scooter had a backpack on it, but it was special for the scooter. It had access from atop or along one side. So I could reach my hand from my seat and open the side access without getting off the scooter and all that entailed.

If you use a regular backpack, you can make a chest strap from one shoulder strap to the other, to keep the straps from slipping off your chair back. Use velcro that sticks to itself. Get it at Walmart Sewing Dept.

We always use a duffel bag with adjustable bag to put around the back of my cousin's ECV. Great for extra storage.

We have a large zip up bag that fits on the back of Joshua's wheelchair, fine it very useful and also adds more comfort and support to his back.

use a large backpack on the back of my power wheelchair. It is firmly attached over the seat. Takes some work but is worth it.

We do a rather large backpack and secure it to the back seat. We put it on pretty good with bungee cords and caribineer locks in addition to the backpack straps. We have a back pack where the zipper pulls can handle a small lock, too. That backpack isn't going anywhere with anybody with the way we do it.

My suggestion is to secure the backpack empty onto the ECV. It probably takes us 20 minutes to do what we do to get it on. We keep it on; so, we don't keep having to secure it.

I love having a backpack and a basket.

You can on some scooters get a back basket that's larger than a front basket. It's considered an accessory if you want to go that route.

There are bigger purse bags that you can buy that have clip-on straps that are very long like a camera bag and this could be secured on the chair seat for a very easy on and off storage bag. For that matter a bigger camera bag would work, too. It just depends on how much you want to store.

Keep in mind extra weight on the scooter does subtract some from the battery power. Probably not enough to make too much of a difference, but it all adds up to draining the battery.
