Do you have vertigo and did you get the Covid vaccine?

I am hearing of more and more people getting vertigo as a side effect from the vaccine. I already have BPPV Vertigo) so now I am even more terrified of getting the vaccine. Do you have BPPV and did you get through the vaccine without an issue? A friend of mine also got vertigo from Covid.
Thanks for any insight!

I also have BPPV, very mild.. mainly affected when I roll over in bed at night - the room swims for several minutes when it happens. It doesn’t happen every time, but most of the time. I also get migraine headaches that appear to be linked to the vertigo.
I had the pfizer shot about 4 weeks ago. I would have never linked it to my vaccination, but I experienced what I thought was a change in my BPPV that caused me to feel very “off balance” when I would go from sitting to standing, or having the feeling as I would walk after standing up that felt like I was moving sideways like a crab would move. It was very frightening, I thought the vertigo was escalating or something neurological was happening.
Interesting now because the timing of these incidents (which lasted about a week then went away as suddenly as they arrived) was just days after I received my covid immunization.

I haven’t had any similar episodes in weeks now, the BPPV is “back to normal” when I roll over in bed at night. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve moments of vertigo but it only comes about in certain very specific locations. Had one shot of the vaccine but not noticing any increase in the disorder.

I have had BPPV a few times in the last couple years. Have had no issues after Pfizer vaccination.

My brother had pretty severe vertigo for a couple weeks post-vaccine. He was not previously prone to vertigo.

I was diagnosed with right positional vertigo almost 3 years ago. The ENT did an adjustment so the crystals went back into place.

I had my first Pfizer shot on March 26. The morning of April 6 I woke up with bed spins and could not balance immediately. By the afternoon I felt fine and even took my evening spin class. The next morning I woke up with less spinning (no balance issues), which also disappeared by midday.

I got my second Pfizer shot on April 16 and did not experience any spinning or other vertigo issues.

My husband has Meniere's Disease which is an inner ear disorder and he's had some bad vertigo cases that take weeks to recover (his is not BPPV). He received J & J and didn't have any issues with vertigo.

I have BPPV, migraines, and a vestibular nerve issue (woot! three kinds of vertigo!). I have a little more vertigo since being vaccinated. But it's not enough to make me at all regret getting vaccinated. (I've had both Moderna shots)

Any time I have any sort of cold or sinus infection, my vertigo gets way worse. I don't want to know what Covid would do to me in terms of headaches and nausea. I'd much rather have the vaccine.

I have a friend who has had some BPPV episodes, but she had no problem with either dose of Moderna, she said she just felt a bit tired and achy after the second shot. She’s in her early 50s.

My mom has Menieres (sp) disease with constant tinnitus, and she also has a host of other health problems. She did experience increased tinnitus after her second shot of Moderna, along with her other thyroid issues acting up. She has finally started to feel better about a month later. She is 75 years old

I have vertigo often but haven't had any episodes since I got vaccinated. Tomorrow is 2 weeks from my 2nd shot.

Almost the same here, and I have Meniere's *and* BPPV. I had a tiny vertigo spell (5 minutes, and not severe at all) about 90 minutes after the J&J vaccine, but that was it. It hit right before the "sleepy stage" that almost everyone gets.

I have a head injury so a spinning world is normal for me, including in bed like the other post said.
I am SO GLAD to read this thread because I have had an on/off headache since my 2nd Pfizer shot,
as well as feeling very off balance.
I don't know when the world is going to whirl anymore, but it happens daily with some days
being worse than others.
I also think I'm having migraines without serious pain because I have had a day or 2 with nausea.

I have had regular bouts of bppv for the last thirty years, some mild, some very severe.
Neither of my AZ injections triggered any kind of reaction.

I had a minor bout for several weeks after my vaccine, when getting in and out of bed.

I've had vertigo it in the past, it usually gets triggered when I fly. The Pfizer vaccine had no effect at all on bringing it back, thank goodness.

I have awful vertigo that stays with me for months. I've had both Pfizer shots and didn't notice any increase in vertigo.

I have a friend who has no vertigo issues normally and had vertigo after the first shot. They didn’t link it to the shot until after his second and then the vertigo became severe. Lasted several weeks. He’s back to normal now. My mom had dizzy spells several days after both of her shots, but nothing severe like vertigo. Both of them had Pfizer.

I have BPPV and I got Moderna. No issues with vertigo.

My coworker got his 2nd shot a few weeks ago. On Monday he had vertigo come on so quickly, he hit his head on the desk, briefly blacked out and then started vomiting profusely. He never had vertigo before.
