station tours? Or can you just show up and buy your tickets then? We plan on going mid week before Labor Day weekend?

The "standard" bus tour (which is very good especially for a first time visitor) is included in your admission - no need nor ability to reserve.

There are other bus tours and events like dine with an astronaut that you really do need to pre-purchase (or reserve) via the KSC web site.
