Do you have to purchase a package (hotel & tickets) to get FOTL?

I just purchased my Universal tickets today for a stay in December, but was wondering if we opted to stay on-property, do we still get FOTL even though we purchased our tickets separately? Thank you for any input on this issue.

I've stayed at Portofino 3 times and have always booked my room reservation separately from my tickets, never as a package. The express for hotel guests is a perk for staying onsite.

You just need to stay onsite. Your room key is your ticket to FOTL access.
