It's a bigger BBQ buffet at Cookies down by the family beach. Near the adult beach they do BBQ but the selection is more limited.

yep..Cooky's has hamburgers, chicken, ribs, lobster burgers, corn on the cob, potato salad, cole slaw..probably something I forgot. there is a separate cart you can get Ceaser salad. There are also carts of fresh fruit and ice cream cones.

Thursday night is lobster night on board, so Friday at Castaway they make lobster patties (or burgers) from the leftover lobster. I don't eat lobster (I know, I know) but my DH did, he didn't care for it actually. It's mixed with something and then fried, served on a bun.

they also have vegetarian hamburgers...
you have to specifically request it as it's not out on the buffet....
they have to go back into the kitchen to get it for you...
but don't let that deter you, it's available...
and it's true vegetarian....they make it on a seperate cooking unit, not on the one that the hamburgers were made on..

If you drink LOTS of sodas you can buy a soda mug for $35.00 (I think) and get unlimited sodas in it. Sodas are free with dining room meals and I had a six pack in my room so I skipped the extra expense.

If you book through AAA you get the soda program included. I like to get it (even if I have to pay) because I am watching my weight (ALWAYS!) and I would rather grab a soda than a free glass of calorie full lemonade, or an ice cream!

You can get your soda at the bar right across from the BBQ on the family beach.

About the soda mug.... can you get just get one and everyone share? Or do they make you buy one for everyone in your cabin?

The soda program is charged per person per day of the cruise.. The mug is sold separately if you like to bring it home as a souvenir.

I always take this program for my DD's as it is very convenient and they drink lots of soda. You also have a room coldbox/fridge so you can bring your own sodas on board if you prefer.

No, we bought one mug last time and just kept getting it filled. But now they have a soda card -- which is a sticker on your room key. So it doesn't matter if you have the mug. But if you only buy one, that person's room key would have to be the one used each time for refills.
