Do you HAVE to have a passport?

Can you just get by with a birth certificate and a drivers license or are you required to have a passport for the Western Carribean? Thanks!

As long as you are a U.S. citizen you do not need a passport, just a CERTIFIED birth certificate and a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license. Children under age 18 only need the certified birth certificate.
