Do you HAVE to get VERIFIED on e-bay after $2000?

I keep getting messages that I MUST become verified to continue using my eby paypal. I don't want to. I have a savings account from my local credit union that I pay my charge card off with. I do not have a checking account there and dont really want one. I have my paypal account linked to my credit card. I thought there was a monthly "cap" but I am now getting messages about having to become verified because we have spent $2000 in the past 8 months. I have emailed and tried to call (I was on hold for 28 minutes and it is a TOLL call). I have not received and answer to my email and it has been 4 days. Anyone know the answer????? Thank you so much.

You have to get verified unfortunately or they won't let you send any more payments. You can use your savings account with paypal.

I tried putting in my account number but becasue it is a credit union it doesnt have the numbers where they say they should be. I am sad. I guess I will go open up a checking account and put in the minimum. Will that work? will they still use my paypal and take the money off my credit card or will they now take it directly from the checking account? I am so confused. I wish that they would answer the phones and not put me on hold!!! Thanks for the info!!

I use a credit union account with no problem. Maybe you are missing a number or something. For example, our CU adds two zeros to the end of the account number we are used to when getting a tax refund or making an electronic transfer.

If you register a bank account they will still allow you to use your CC to make purchases. The bank account is for security purposes to verify your identity basically in case you stole the CC or something.

Those are paypal's rules. The standard spending amount is $2,000.00 unless you have a credit card AND bank account on file with paypal.
