Do you have to book everything with Disney?

Such as photographer, catoring, flowers, etc. Thanks.

That's kind of hard to answer with just a yes or no.;)

I'm pretty sure catering through Disney is required. I think it has something to do with health department regulations.

Flowers can go either way...depending on your ceremony/reception location. If you are having a custom ceremony in one of the theme parks, or your reception in one of the theme parks, you pretty much have to use Disney floral. If you are having an intimate (or a custom NOT in one of the parks) you could go with an outside vendor for flowers.

For photography, you can go with an outside vendor with either an intimate or custom ceremony. The same restrictions MAY apply to in-park ceremonies/receptions, but I don't think they do.

Now, the other part of that is if you are having a custom wedding, with specific minimums to meet, you may find yourself having to go with Disney for some of those services just to meet your minimum. But I haven't heard of too many brides really having to worry about that part;)

Hope that helps some!

I agree with hiwaygal, you have to do the catering through Disney. And if you have a custom, you can use your own photographer and florist as long as you meet the minimum. For our wedding, since we pretty much met the minimum with the food, we went with outside photographer and florist.

Holdem, I had a custom vow renewal and my dinner party was held after-hours inside a theme park. There were specific rules that I had to follow in order to hold my event in such a location. The rules were laid out for me by my Sales & Event Managers.

For example, the following is currently stated on the official FTW website for a Great Movie Ride dinner party (which is what I had):

* Disney Charter Bus transportation is required at $88 per hour for a minimum of 5 hours
* All talent performing within Disney-MGM Studios must be secured by Walt Disney Entertainment through your Wedding Event Planner
* All floral and décor items must be provided by Disney

I believe I chartered a private motor coach for something like 9 or 10 hours on the day of my vow renewal. The motor coach picked up my guests at their resorts, transported them to the Wedding Pavilion for the evening ceremony, took them to the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park for the dinner party, and afterwards took them back to their resorts (my family was the last one off the motor coach at 3 AM).

Disney handled all my entertainment needs: Streetmosphere Characters, Pianist, Country & Western Band, DJ, Outdoor Lighting, and Custom Firework Display. The entertainment aspects of my event were incredible.

Disney also handled all my floral/decorating needs: Wedding Pavilion, GMR Courtyard, GMR Gangster, GMR Western, GMR Land Of Oz, and Sorcerer's Hat Icon. They did a beautiful job with everything.

As to food, Disney has to supply it, including the wedding cake. But they are well-known for their delicious meals and scrumptious cakes. Yum!

When you speak with a FTW person to plan your event, they will tell you the rules that apply for your time-frame and location.
