I think they need to change it up a bit. Make the questions random, and allow more time to research the answers. I wouldn't mind one that took a couple evenings, needed me to research the movies, trivia, etc. But then make the prize worth it. I liked the trivia parts, but found myself resorting to the "cheats" because they were there and there was a time limit of 5 minutes to find the answers. If the time was an hour, I'd have done the searching myself (DVD scan!!).
If the questions were presented as random (say you get 20 questions from a pool of 50?) it could cut down on the cheats and "mules" that complete a quest in 30seconds!!
Of course, I always forget that the target audience is just a bit younger than me!! LOL!

Quests are fun, but these pirate quests...to me they're starting to seem like all the same quest, with the trivia questions and having to play pirates a dozen times. I didn't have the pirate table and skeleton because I'm new, same with the magic, so I did the quest for those. But the 500 credits wasn't worth it. I can get more than that just doing a ten-minute fireworks game.

[RANT]I think the quests are GREAT. I liked the questions, that they were very movie-related and stayed within the theme of each quest. They were similar (they were all about Pirates afterall), but different in flavor.

People are complaining in this thread like someone forced them to play the quests. I've got a hint for you, you don't have to. Me, I didn't need a sinlge item given away in quest this month. Had plenty of everything. I do the quests because I think they are challenging and FUN!

Quit your whining and leave them for those of us that enjoy them.

Yeah, I'm going to get gruff for this, but I don't care. [/RANT]

yes and no....I love a challenge but the games are making me want to scream. It is hard enough to get the points they want you to have let alone having to play them again because you answered a question wrong. I love being able to find stuff but not the games.:sad2:

I neurotically crammed two of the three quests for all four of our characters into Monday evening because we were camping all weekend. That was self-imposed quest burnout. If I had had a day or two, it would have been fine. That or take my husband up on his offer of help in completing the tasks for one or more characters.

Am I burned out on quests? Nope, not usually. Did my neurosis about having a two-star pin for each of our four characters cause me to be stressed out about it? Yup. Is that VMK's fault? Nope.

Oh, and Goofy_Bob, chill dude! You might not have quest burnout, but you are stressing about something! Relax and let the whiners whine! Big hugs to you:hug:

Yes Lady Zoo. :upsidedow

I personally love to do quests. I do not like ones that take hours and hours to complete though. So, my answer is mixed. I think the scores are the weekend quests were a bit high, especially because there were three to do.

Like most of the other posters on this thread, I'm in between. Sunday, the only day of the week where I have a good amount of time to play VMK, I usually sit and play fireworks game after fireworks game. This past Sunday, I did the 500 credit and the buried in treasure quests with two characters in addition to doing Phinny's Sunday quest with those same two characters. Six quests in one day and no time to play fireworks just about killed me, but give me a week or two of doing no quests and I should be fine again.

I enjoy a good quest. However, sometimes they go overboard. The quest for pirate at the helm was way too long. I did not even attempt when I saw it took some people over an hour to do.

OT, but I love your word "overboard" mixed in, considering it's pirate month :rotfl:

Ok back on topic!

IF you cant whine here when can you whine? BTW free crackers with everyones whine later.
Alot of times I dont participate in the quests......I just watch ppl running circles around me. What bugs me is the lag it creates because we got 5000 players and their 15000 mules ripping up the dirt in vmk.

Makes me crazy like my cheese slipped off my cracker.

Waaaaaaaaaa Waaaaaaaaaaaa Waaaaaaaaaaa lol

Yeah, pretty much. I wish I could get the other pins, but I cannot play HM to save my life (literally) and I cannot get the scores required on the other games. Oh well....even if I can't play video games, I still have my looks. :)
