Do you have Porketta in your area?

Hey, all the Minnesotans checking in here...I went to college in Morris and my mom has a lake-place on a little lake called Tonseth Lake.

agnes!

There's an Italian deli here that serves Porketta sandwiches and also sells Porketta roasts. My husband loves it and the kids tolerate it but I'm not too fond of pork. I'll buy it for him once in a great while. Next time I think I'll try it in the slow cooker, I think that might improve the texture issue I have with it.

It sounds pretty simple to make at home.

1 tablespoon dill seed
1 tablespoon fennel seed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
4 pounds boneless pork roast

1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
2.In a small bowl, combine the dill seed, fennel seed, oregano, lemon pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. Mix well and apply to the roast. Place roast in a 10x15 inch roasting pan.
