Do you have plans for New Years Eve Yet?

I don't. And in the past, I've never planned anything until like the day before. So does anyone have plans yet?

We never make plans. Last year my dh, ds and I traveled to Salt Lake City on New Years Eve, by the time we got to the hotel and out to get a bite to eat, it was pretty late. SLC was very quiet, no one out on the streets! Not sure where the celebrations happened, lol.

I am booked for 3 nights in Las Vegas!! All Comped with a party with fireworks and a New Years Day brunch. Only problem is my husband has to get it off of work.

Dh's parents are taking us to the British Virgin Islands for our Christmas present....we leave 12/26 so we'll be there for NYE

DH and I always stay at a hotel on NYE with our DD-3 and DD-5. We swim, eat a bunch of junk and play games. It's safe and we always have a great time.

DD and I will be having dinner at LeCellier in Epcot.

I don't have plans yet. I ususally do the celebation in Chattanooga which is free or watch.

We always go to my parents house. We watch movies, play darts, and eat tons of food. We celebrate New York New Years for the kids, then we go home. It's a lot of fun for everyone.

I will be in Epcot enjoying Teppanyaki with an ADR at 9pm... It will be our sixth straight year...

I will be doing the same thing I always do on New Years....just chilling at home. I will probably stay up later than my parents and do what I did last year. I danced in my living room for like an hour after they went to bed. My pajamas went under my feet and I fell. It was so much fun!!!

We usually stay home and fix up a great spread as if we were throwing a party for all our best friends, but it's all for us! Kind of a special treat.... things you only make when you're having company and never make for yourself. We also watch some classic movies and ring in the New Year with Dick Clark!! It doesn't sound like fun, but it is!

Also, we set off fireworks at midnight and open the back door to let the old year out and the front door to let the new year in!

We do absolutely nothing special, unless we happen to be at WDW or a cruise. But at home, we treat it as just another night. I never quite "got" NYE

This year we'll be packing, though, since we're leaving for WDW the next morning!

A group of us (7 adults) went to WDW for a week in October. My best friend (who was a WDW newbie) has invited us all to NY Eve at her house. We are all making our favorite WDW dishes. So far, she has promised to make the coconut curry chicken stew from Boma and I am going to make the chilaquiles from F&W Festival. We've already got Rosa Regale for toasting.

This is the one night of the year we really prefer to stay home. We like to hang out with the kids and play games or watch movies. We cook up some yummy appetizer type food, have some cocktails and the kids like drinking sparkling grape juice. The kids are old enough now that they really get into trying to make it up to ring in the New Year!

DH, DD3 and I do not "do' NYE. I believe that the evening is cursed for me due to a string of sucky things happening, accidents etc (at the start of the night not the end) so after a few years of this type of mess and having my evenings end at 10 pm (no joke) I have let NYE win and we are happily asleep at that time. The night is safer for the rest of the world with me at home.
