Oh, yes, many!!! A whole wall of them!




They are all pictures that my son made at preschool last spring. Now that he's in kindergarten he doesn't bring home much artwork (dittos of the alphabet just don't look as nice on the wall ) so I've left up his preschool stuff. Better to me than expensive artwork!

I have a photo collage of family and a picture my stepmom took when she was in Scotland. My theme is green ivy and the pic is of a really old ornate gravestone (w/ a broken off chunk) and ivy climbing up the side of it..its gorgeous!

--a small watercolor of ivy on a garden gate (used to do an ivy kitchen )
--framed greeting card....was just a pretty picture that matched my decor

There is art on the walls, but it's in the form of Mexican Pottery.

I have all the photos that we take each year at chef mickeys. It's fun to look at them and see how the kids grow.

I don't have pictures, but I do have a set of 6 Williams Sonoma Chef Series plates on a shelf along the wall. They were a gift a years ago and I love them. Unfortunately, DS broke one when he threw a ball against the wall and it fell off. He brought me his piggy bank, crying, and told me I could use all the money to go buy another one (and I would have - after I wrung his neck, LOL - had I been able to find one).

umm, not 'truly' pictures, but I bake so many cakes, I ran out of storage space and now have my most used Wilton shaped cake pans hanging on the walls, voila' functional art. And I can change them with the seasons or whenever I need a change!

No, I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to decorating. I especially don't like extra clutter in the kitchen. It's easier to clean when there's nothing extra in there.

I have:

a pen and ink drawing of a wine bottle and wedge of cheese that my son did in high school.

a wooden plaque from Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville store in Key West. It has a picture of a salt shaker and says 'lost shaker of salt' on it.

a photograph that I enlarged. It is a photo that I took of a very colorful row of Adirondack chairs in front of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville at Universal Studios City Walk. The chairs are all handpainted with tropical designs.

Not a picture, but I have a cork board that holds calendars, schedules, school notices, etc., etc.
