Do you have package experience?

A friend of mine booked a package on Expedia for air, hotel (Coronado Springs), and UPH’s and although I am leery of packages, got a fairly good price. He already had relatives going at the same time, staying at the CBR and Expedia wants $400 to make the change so they can stay there as well. Both resorts are in the moderate price range, so he can’t justify spending $400 more for the same accommodations. Has anyone had any experience making a change on a hotel reservation using a package like this? Do you think he could call CRO and get the change made directly? Any ideas?
