I have discovered that I "need" a handbag for every mood that I'm in: designer bag, cross-body, day bag, clutch, organizer, fanny pack, backpack, tote, sling, etc.

Please tell me I'm not the only one! :sad2:

I do, I can't resist a good sale on a good bag. I went alittle crazy in the past few months. I HAD to get a couple for or trip to WDW, then Dooney& Bourke had some great specials online, Coach outlet had great sales, and then there was the Vera Bradley sale :rolleyes1

Nope. In fact I often joke I was born without the handbag and shoe gene:confused3 -I just don't get the attraction.

But have fun and enjoy the hunt:goodvibes .

I'm like that, but for me it isn't just limited to handbags. I love handbags, tote bags, backpacks, suitcases, wallets, duffel bags . . . anything to carry stuff in. I think part of it is that I'm not as organized as I'd like to be, and I keep trying to find just the right thing to keep me organized. On the other hand, I don't care too much about designer bags. I have a few really nice handbags but some of my very favorite bags were very inexpensive.

I'm in love w/ purses and shoes. Actually, at the moment it's boots. I just can't get enough pairs of them! DH doesn't get it.

That is me to a T. Always looking for the perfect bag to be organized . luggage too.

My wife has always just used a fanny pack. She wears them until they are falling apart. She's a wonderful woman.

OMG do I have handbag disease? YES! I adore shoes, too, but I'm obsessed with handbags. I have so many, and I use them all. I'm constantly changing them, due to my mood, what I'm wearing, the season, what's on TV tonight etc. I have only two real designer bags, my pristine-still-the-dustbag Christian Dior (with matching mule pumps), and a Kate Spade. I have a few Isaac Mizrahi bags which I bought when he was on the fashion line, and paid big bucks, and now he designs for Target so I can save a lot of money. I've always like his handbag style. I also like Prada bags, but I can't see spending so much money on a handbag. The most I ever paid was $370 for the Dior, and that was a steal. Now I usually pay an average of $30 for my handbags. Here are some that I love.

This one is a vintage, but the designer's name escapes me at the moment. I freaked out when I saw it in a thrify shop, got it for $10, and it's worth $150!

I am just the opposite, I have a few purses but am always stuffing things in pockets instead of carrying them. My DMom and DSis lament that I have a genetic defect! Fortunately (unfortunately?) DD seems to have the gene much to the delight of Mom and Sis :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am the same way also. I would rather spend my money on something else.

But I have friends that love their bags. LOL. They always say to me "I know you dont' like handbags but look at my new one."

As long as they like it.

Oh, I love handbags. Actually, I just love accessories. I could be in dire need of clothes, but when I go to the mall all I look at are handbags, shoes, jewelry, scarves, and makeup. :cutie:

I have two Coach bags that I got when my ex-sil worked for Coach and got a great discount. :thumbsup2 But my primary bag right now is this one from Lucky Brand Jeans. http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=308414&CategoryID=27804 I  it. I get so many compliments on it.

But I don't change my handbags that often. I'll carry one for maybe three months, and then switch to another one. (only changing when I wear a dress) That's why I love my Lucky Brands bag. If it goes with jeans (which I live in), it goes with that bag.

For dressier times, I will use my Kathy Von Zealand bag. Its got some bling to it and this big buckle type thing with "Kathy" on it, kind of cool since that's my name. :) I got it from a clearance table at Macys and I like it well enough, but I've seen at least four other people carrying it.

Oh good gracious, I have a purse fetish  I have to have one for every mood and if I'm depressed, I just buy a new purse or 2. I have even been known to hide them from DH. My mom was my enabler, she would buy them for me and dare DH to say something or she would tell him she bought it,when I am the one who bought it. Mom alwasy said that was why I had a job, so I could add to my addiction.

I don't have any designer purses (but I do love my Vera Bradley's) and probably the most I have ever spent on a purse was less than $100, but I love purses :lovestruc I love bags in general, tote bags, weekend bags, duffle bags (Vera Bradley).

I really need to get rid of a few, but can't bear to part with them :lmao:

Now shoes, that is a different story. I would rather go barefoot, although I do love my Crocs when I have to wear shoes.

Count me in. I can't resist a purse or pair of shoes I like. A friend's sister brought a fake Coach bag she got in Chinatown to a show we went to. I became "obsessed" on finding one like it. Ended up going into the Coach Outlet at the Premium Outlets when I was at WDW in October, "just to see what they had". Of course, I found one and bought it (and not at the Chinatown price!). Then I had to get the matching wallet off e-bay. I call those "me moments". Help, I do have a sickness!!!!;)

<-------------------Whatever do you mean????

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!

I have too many Coach to count now, thank GOD! I own one Gucci, three DBs, a plethora of vintage bags from jumble sales and thrift shops, and a number of mid-century bags that are to die for. Oh, and two Kate Spades.

My problem is that I now don't change bags as often as I'd like. I found the PERFECT bag and I've carried it for almost a year now, changing out only for Disneyland and WDW trips and other special events. It is a Coach tote and it isn't too big or too small and fits right on my shoulder.

But, I'm also very thrifty. I tend to buy them on sale at Macy's 40% off sales or at the outlets.

Oh, my latest find is a $9.95 enormous white leather satchel from Nordstrom's Rack. I could probably pack two days' worth of clothes in it. Great for shopping so that I don't waste the plastic shopping bags.

I have so many purses that I don't even remotely have any idea how many I have. I have a ton of LeSportsac bags, a Coach wristlet, a small Kipling across-the-body purse, and a few Fossil purses; those are really my only "designer" purses. I really want to get a Coach shoulder bag, though. I'll have to save up my money and then visit the outlet.

Aside from the Coach wristlet, which I just got for Christmas, my favourite new bag is my LeSportsac "Technofile" bag, in the retired "Jungle" print. It's kind of like a messenger bag and laptop case in one. It has a huge zippered compartment for my iBook and school books, a snappered fold-out section loaded with zippered compartments, a zippered compartment across the front, and a velcro-closure compartment across the back. It's great for school and it doesn't hurt my shoulder, even when loaded up with textbooks. (http://www.lesportsac.com/store/7905_5205.html)

I'm the opposite. I hate purses. I have one very small organizer purse that is about 6 inches by 6 inches. That is enough fo me!!!

My 22 year old daughter, though, is definitely inflicted.
