Have you ever tasted a cookie and knew that was the best cookie you've ever had?!! :rotfl:
And then it sets the taste in your mouth and all other cookies of the same kind are compared with that Perfect Cookie?:lmao:

Well that has happened with me.
Now i'm constantly looking for these two recipes and i just can't find the right consistency or flavor.

I'm looking for a Sweet Soft Buttery Thin Oatmeal Cookie with raisins.

And

I'm looking for a Sweet Soft Molasses Cookie recipe.

I hope that You all have a couple to share.:goodvibes

I have a good soft, molasses cookie recipe. Now I'LL have to bake them! I'll bookmark this now and get you the recipe in the morning. Its evening now here and I'm BEAT!
Katy

Sylvie’s Oatie Biscuits (makes 50-60)

250g butter
250g sugar
250g self-raising flour
250g porridge oats
¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tbsp golden syrup
1 egg, beaten

1. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add egg and syrup and stir well.
2. Mix dry ingredients together and combine thoroughly into mixture.
3. Roll into walnut-sized balls and place well apart on greased baking sheets (you will need to cook them in 2-3 batches as they spread a lot). Cook for 10-15 mins in a preheated oven 190ºC/Fan 170ºC/Gas 5. The biscuits should be light golden colour but still soft.
4. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 mins, then transfer carefully to cooling racks. When cool they will be crisp but with a chewy texture.

This is an old-fashioned cookie recipe given to me by an old-fahioned dinner lady!

Thank You Katy! That's sweet of you:goodvibes

This is a family favorite. They are so good--one of my most requested. They come out crisp on the outside and chewy inside. They freeze well too.
