Do you have any problems using DDP?

We are considering DDP. My only concern is being at a park and wanting to get something to eat at counter service and being told we do not participate in the DDP, go to the next place and they say the same thing etc.

Has anyone found it inconvenient or do majority participate?

Thank you:)

I would say 98% participate, and they give you a list of who all does participate when you check in to your hotel.

Thank you for your quick reply cmwade77. You put my mind at ease.:thumbsup2

I thought of one more question....

We will be staying at BWV. Has stayed at this resort with the DDP? Was there a good choice on counter and sit down meals.

I read the list of which restaurants participate but I want to know if it felt like you had a variety of choices if you were staying at the resort for a few days?

I hope I am making sense!:)

I've stayed at BWV a number of times. I do not normally eat at the Boardwalk restaurants though. There are a few Snack Shacks on the boardwalk but I don't believe they participate in the DDP. There is no CS place other than the Bakery that I am aware of so not much to choose from. If you go over to the Yacht & Beach Club resorts there are a few more places to choose from. But I don't think there are CS there either. I normally would eat CS in the Parks when I am staying in the Boardwalk area. Tehre are plenty of TS options between Boardwalk & Yacht & Beach Club but I would advise against wasting TS credits at Beaches & Cream. They should be CS in my opinion but charge TS credits.

Karrit2000,

We probably will not be doing CS at BWV either but I wanted one or two TS if not wanting to venture out.
Thanks for your help!:)

At the BW you are so close to Epcot and all the choices there for CS are far superior than anything at the BW.

Spoodles is on the BW and comes in 2nd on the list of "most expensive meal you can get for 1 TS credit." Haven't been there yet, but we're planning on trying it on our next trip in Sept.

The Boardwalk Bakery has incorporated sandwiches to accomodate CS meals.

I did it for 1 meal and got the breakfast panninni with bacon, a coffee, and a piece of brownie cheesecake :)

The few locations that do not participate in the DDP generally have a sign right at the register indicating that (also that they don't accept credit cards or room charges).

You won't have any problem finding places to eat on DDP.

For CS at the theme parks, a little bit of time figuring out which CS outlets are where and what their offerings are will pay big dividends. Some days you might just want a light lunch; other days, you might want to make the CS your big meal of the day -- so it's a good idea to be generally familiar with the options in each theme park.

You don't want to do the "Darn, I coulda had the ribs & chicken platter!" thing.
