Do you have any family members that you cannot stand?

The only one in my whole family who I honestly detest is my obnoxious, pervy BIL.

My sister is beginning to show some of his traits now too. We were once very close but over the years have certainly drifted apart. My sister started an arguement today on the phone over nothing and was VERY hurtful and rude towards me.

It's going to be a fun weekend when we stay at their house this coming weekend.

If I could get out of it I would but it's where my Mum lives now and I want to see her.

Oh well, I guess that's life but I wish he'd (BIL) go live some other place - like the other side of the world!

Anyone else?

Must be a BIL thing. I can't stand mine either. He has a drinking problem,has hit the kids(I have no proof or I would be reporting him ASAP), drives around drunk with them in the car...I've told my SIL that he's not welcome in my home and if I ever find out that he has the kids drunk in the car again I'm calling the cops on him. Of course, now I'M the bad guy What a jerk.....

Well.. we have my Mother's brother, the obnoxious trashy leeching drunk. He's not allowed to come to my parents' house anymore.

then my Father's middle brother. The sociopath. He's hannibal Lecter, only without the cannibalism. Also known as the cockroach. He just stole my grandmother's wedding ring (that's the latest incident- he's stolen thousands from her and something from every family member just about). and yet my Grandmother was furious he wasn't invited to my cousin's graduation party saturday

I'm safe with posting here as BIL thinks going to Disney is totally beneath him. He's a snob and a know-it-all too.

He was looking at a photo of SE once and for a minute was curious as to what it was. We told him and instead of saying that sounds interesting, all we got was a sarcastic " oh, that place". DH & I just looked at each other!

I must say I'm not going into all the details here as they are far too personal.

oh yeah. There is my MIL who marries every man she meets and then takes them to the cleaners.

Then there is my aunt's husband who shot and killed his son (my 1st cousin) for no reason and is rotting in jail as we speak.

My Grandfather's evil witch of a wife!

She has torn our family apart, he only has contact with her kids now and pretty much ignores the rest of his family. She convinced my Uncle that I made my Grandfather take me shopping and spend over $300 on clothes that I didn't need. It was so far from the truth, my Uncle called my Mom about it to find out why I was being a brat (I was 16) and staying with them for three weeks in Chicago. The evil witch got an earful from just about everyone! She started a fight at my other Uncles wedding to the point that my Uncles wife told her if she ever comes near her again she will hurt her.

She's a freaking piece of work!

Definately - my brother and his wife. I got really sick of the way he treated my grandmother when she was alive and then saw him doing it to my mom as well. Wrote him off and later the next year my mom was diagnosed with cancer and died. He proved to be just as heartless through all that so he's out of my life. Luckily I have a wonderful DH with a great family that I'm a part of.

Yes and my neighbor has them too. We both decided that it was much better that we got to pick our friends and our undesirable family members lived FAR AWAY!!


We probably all have to have these people in our families to know how good we have it otherwise.

Yep, I have a cousin who's 42, won't work, has no money so lives with mom, but can somehow manage to find money to spend all night drinking @ a bar & setting up the entire bar for drinks. Oh, did I mention that he has surrosis (spelling???) of the liver but can't afford the $300 a month in meds so his mom pays for that with her social security check, he just got a DWI last week & cussed his mom out @ the jail - I would have let his sorry butt rot in there. I could go on but I'm getting irritated. I have other relatives that I don't care that much for, but he gets the prize.
