Do you have any birdhouses in your trees?

It's so much fun to watch the birds! There is one nest in our tree outside our den window (where I can sit at computer at watch) and one treehouse (I don't think anyone lives there yet). I plan on buying a bunch more tomorrow and getting them all put up! It will be like an apartment complex!

LOL I enjoy watching the birds in our yard. They make nests everywhere and get very territorial. I have Huge Purple Plum trees around the pool in the back and the birds made nests there, as well as in the mailbox (the part where the newspaper is supposed to go) and in our back light post which is up on the deck.
Everytime I walk by one of the nests I get an angry bird swooping at me...I should be used to it by now, but it catches me offguard. I almost fell into the pool ducking away from it the other day.

What happens to the babies if something should happen to the mom who feeds them?

We have one birdhouse but I think it's always vacant. We get lots of birds because we have several bird feeders out. I like watching the birds swoop down and peck at the squirrel for stealing the sunflower seeds.
