Do you have a Yeti cup or a knock off?

My DH is a bit Yeti crazy, but I have heard that the RTIC brand is comparable. We have a large 30 oz cup and the 10 oz tumbler. Love that it seriously keeps your ice all day long. We also have a Yeti 65 which is an awesome camping/fishing cooler. My only complaint about the cooler is that it is HEAVY!!!!!!!

Yes, the coolers are awesome, but they weigh a TON!!

Yep they are! I was MidOhio for Indy this past weekend and my Hyrdo still had ice in it by late afternoon.

For the OP, sorry I dont use a Yeti or anything comparable. I have to keep my fluids sealed, stiff suspension and bumpy roads and open container equals stuff all over lol

I am thinking that is what I need too. I really like my hydro flasks. I may get a new lid for one of them.

My experience is the yeti is a better quality. I haven't tried all the other brands but of the ones I have seen; one the rear tab broke off the lid, another the o-ring on the lid was damaged upon delivery, another the bottom of the cup started separating. 2 of the same brand and one different. I prefer my yeti although I'm not sure if I would buy it, it was a gift. Their just to expensive to me.

We have a Yeti cooler and it is awesome. My nephews can fill it with beer and ice, use it on the beach all day and the next day it will still have un melted ice in it...and absolutely zero beer left though.:teeth:

As for the cup/mug I bought a cup with the clear plastic lid. The ice melts in 10 minutes. I am totally disappointed and wonder if I just bought a dud??!!

I have a Yeti 20 oz, bought a 30 oz Wal Mart - Ozark brand, I think. Left ice tea in mine overnight last night - almost 24 hours I still had ice. There are some youtube comparison videos. I need to buy some vinyl stickers for the new cup. My Yeti is a full wrap gold bling :) A friend of mine did Yeti's for my entire family for Christmas last year - engraved :) Etsy is great for that!

Filled my 16 ounce Hydro Flask with ice & topped with water Saturday around 6:00 pm, then headed to the pool for about an hour. Brought it back inside & left it on the counter. Grabbed it Sunday at noon to head back to the pool & still had enough ice I just had to top off the water :)

Edit: for best results, I put the flask in the freezer for at least an hour before use. I did not do that in the above example.

I love my Yeti! I have the 30oz, and I love that the ice lasts all day, even here where it's a gazillion degrees every day in summer. I have a gold glitter Minnie decal for mine with Lilly Pulitzer printed bow and monogram.
Sure, the cup itself is expensive, but honestly, it keeps me from spending money on drinks while out and about running errands or going to meetings. It's more than paid for itself.

DH and I both have the Ozark trail 30oz ones and love them. Kept ice on the counter for 32 hours, and even refilling my cup all day with water it kept ice for 24. Best $10 my ice water loving self has ever spent. We previously swore by Tervis water bottle which we still use on the go. But at home when we don't need them spill proof LOVE the Ozark ones.

ETA - used a friends cricut to make vinyl decals for them too. So far with hand washing the decals have stayed put!

I really like my Hydro Flask bottles. They hold heat and cold very well, not sure how they compare to a Yeti, but I have been very pleased, and they seal shut.

Do you have a Yeti?

Knockoffs!! We just came from the Smoky Mtns. and bought some of the 'park' specific ones from there and like them better than the Yeti. For one thing, it has a sliding cover for the drink opening - Yeti's is open - and it was half the price - $20 vs. $40! Ice stays all day and until the next morning! Amazing! We use them everyday.

Also bought a Walmart knockoff - Mossy Oak - and it performs the same - $10. (Walmart has different brands depending on location in US.) Just bought a 30oz. today from Tuesday Morning for $10 - Manna Maverick - haven't tried it yet, but looks the same.

DH & I were both skeptical about the 'plastic' looking lids, but they 'do' keep the water cold and the ice stays far beyond what we would need - they're great!!

Move over 'Tervis' - :D ours have now taken a backseat!! They 'sweat' which we were told they would not do - our Yeti knockoffs do not!

When I was in Japan my sister was obsessed with finding just the right Zojirushi insulated cup in teal. She found it, and I'll say it did work amazingly well keeping water cold as we traipsed around the countryside.

Bobble now has an insulated bottle. Has anyone tried those?

Also, how does water taste in any of these other brands? Is there a metallic flavor? (I hate that taste)

We have a bunch of Yeti's ... I love them. I've heard the knock off's work just as well.

My 30 oz is powder coated purple and has my monogram on it.
