Do you have a regular bedtime?

No, I've never been able to keep a regular bedtime. Anywhere between 7:30pm to 10:30pm, on the weekend it's between 11:30pm - 2:00am.

Wakeup depends on what I need to do in the morning, generally between 3:30am-4:15am. Maybe pushing to 5:00am if I'm expecting to have to stay later in the day (court, training) and don't need to get down to the cop shop so early. Weekends are a bit later, but never after 8:00am for some reason. Probably not the healthiest sleep schedule.

My favorite bedtime routine at this time of year is to go to bed around 8:00 and read for an hour, but with family life, that's rarely possible.

I'm usually up around 4:30. My body just refuses to adjust to the time change.

I am in bed at 8:45 and up at 3:45. Of course I wake up multiple times in between. On the weekend I usually stay in bed until 6:30 but still up at 4.

Last night at 5:30pm I was prepping veggies for a stirfry and overheard my in laws talking in the basement.

My mother-in-laws was going to bed.

I know as you age you rise earlier and get sleepy earlier but I just don't see myself ever wanting to head to bed at 5:30.

On a weeknight I typically make it to bed between 10:30 and 11:30.

On a weekend it is likely11:30 to 1:00.
She probably doesn't sleep well and was tired. As you age there are many reasons people don't sleep well. No need for any judgment. She probably loves her quiet early morning time.

I know the time change always does a number on my sleep and some nights I feel like giving it up early. I did just that last week after being up around 4 on two days in a row.

I usually had a regular bedtime, at least within say a one hour window. The exact sleeping hours were dictated by what time I needed to be at school or work at that point in my life. I wasn’t someone who could catch up on sleep with a subsequent marathon session.

I also tended to wake up earlier than later, even as a kid. Back then tv stations shut off for the night, and I remember watching things like Farm Report and Jack LaLanne on tv as nothing else was on, and even test patterns at times if it was before the stations signed back on!

I wasn't judging.

She despises the fact she wakes up at 2-3 am every day. You wake up that early you are ready for bed at 5:30. But if you go to bed at 5:30, you have had 8-9 hours of sleep come 2-3am. It is a vicious cycle, and as I said, one I hope to never be a part of.
