do you have a real phobia?

i do.

a lot of people say they have phobias, but i mean like, real phobias. like where your life is affected negatively by a fear you have. like if you're afraid of something to the point you cannot function around it, and get upset at the thought or suggestion of it.

last night i was at a football game, and evidently god is angry at middle tennessee, because a plague of locus set down upon the stadium.

honestly though, there were probably 300 crickets on the home side of the stadium. and needless to say, the only thing i'm honestly terrified of would be crickets.

i scream, i cry, i run, i freak out, if a cricket gets within a certain distance of me.

there was one point last night in the 3rd quarter when my friend Steven from the band had to come over and calm me down because a cricket got too close to me. i was in tears, and it took probably ten minutes to make me stop crying.


so do you have any serious phobias like that? if not, do you know someone who does? if you dont have a life affecting phobia, what are you afraid of?

Claustrophobia. But not really when I'm in small rooms, it usually hits me a lot harder when I'm surrounded by people, like today in Wal-Mart. I just can't function when I'm surrounded, it makes me nervous beyond all belief.

I have a phobia of being kidnapped and being shot in my house. I have stayed up countless nights and sometimes with my door locked, because I have been so scared that both would happen to me. Oh and losing my family...I always end up in tears whenever I start thinking of losing my mom...

I have a fear of not being able to breath, large bodies of water, bugs, heights, and distance.

Distance...I can't explain this fear. But EVERYTIME I'm sick, I feel it.

I also have a phobia of heights.
My oddest phobia is of realistic dinosaurs... Like, the dinosaurs in Dinosaur. Even a picture of the on-ride photo can make me yell in shock.

Holy crap, cicadas.

They only come out every 17 years.
They came out last year.
I screamed every time I saw one.

&& I can walk past windows, but then I get paranoid. I feel a lot better when I sleep with a cat in my room. My ex-best friends old house she had drapes that only covered the sides of the window, so you could see straight into her house. I hated it!
