I had collected the Folk Art pattern a couple of years ago and now regret getting rid of it. (sold some on ebay and some to my DH's aunt)

I would like to start all over again but with a different pattern. I LOVE Folk Art and it's my fave pattern. But, I would definately collect something different since his aunt collects it and his sister collects Yorktowne (which is similar)

I do like Naturewood and Village.

What pattern do you have?

When we got married, we bought Trousseau, which I loved (ands still do). But then they discontinued it. The Trousseau dishes now live in our cabin and we use them on a regular basis when we are there.

We then decided to buy a new pattern for here at home for every day. We went and bought some pieces of The Orchard. Then a few weeks later, I found out that they were also discontinuing that pattern. We went to the outlet and bought up extra pieces right away, and I even have an extra box of 4 place settings in the basement, just in case.

I'm not going to suggest a pattern to you, because with my track record, if I choose a new favorite, it will be discontinued before you could get to the store! :rotfl:

I have Yorktowne and Cape May

I used to have Village and got tired of it, so I sold some and gave some away. Then I bought Heritage (white...boring). I'm tired of that now and have been drooling over Napoli, but have resisted buying for over 3 years now. It will go perfectly with the kitchen in our new house, but we plan on eventually remodeling, so I think I should wait until then before investing.

I have the naturewood pattern...I like it, but find the plates get scratched easily.

I was afraid that I would get tired of a certain pattern or color over time so I chose the plainest pattern I liked - Cappucino. I like that it's plain and that I can add other pieces from other collections to mix things up and give some color. I have a few pieces of Jam Berry and they look nice with the Cappucino.

I have Summer Garden. I think I have all of the serving pieces, too, glasses, etc. But everything is in a box in the basement. I'm divorced now and I want to sell it - I want to start over again, and this time, with something rather plain that will go with anything!

I have Rio - got it about 11 years ago. It's now only available online and through the catalog, and I swear I got some rim soup bowls from Walmart a few years ago.

Regarding scratching - stoneware doesn't scratch really. What that poster is probably seeing is remnants of her flatware - the dishes are harder than your knives. There are stoneware cleaners out there that you can use to remove the lines. (I used to be a bridal consultant at Carsons, can ya tell? Lol. )

I have Napoli! I think it's so pretty. There are so mnay accompanying pieces. My only problem is when I microwave on the plates or in the bowls it comes out so hot but the food is not that hot. Has anyone else found this?

When we first got married I had Heirloom, including a ton of serving pieces. After about 12 years I was really tired of it so we bought French Quarter. I love the look of it, but for some reason this particular pattern chips VERY easily. I have a large chip in every single dinner plate and most bowls. The Heirloom never chipped. :confused3

Based on that alone, I am not sure if I could recommend French Quarter, or any other pattern with a thin, plain rim. THe Heirloom had a thicker, almost fluted edge and that seemed to work out better.

I have Village and started collecting it when we got married 34 years ago. We were finding pieces at their Outlet Stores, but nothing lately. We don't use it for everyday, because it's so heavy for my Mom. hmmmm....I just realized that since she's not loading the dishwasher anymore, I can start using it again. (we use Corelle for everyday.)

I don't remember what my pattern is called. We received our place settings as a wedding gift 8 yrs ago. 6 of the place settings were just plain cobolt blue with embossed daisies on the rim of the dinner plate and center of the salad plates. The other 6 were happy daisy or something like that- white with cobolt blue daisy and green stems/accents. We mixed and matched the two sets.

I liked it at the time, but now I'm ready for something different. I really like the Pistoulet and Napoli sets.

I had to look it up. I have Yorktowne.

I've never really loved it, and have barely used it. It was a gift (in 1987).

I'd like to begin over again and get just one set of something that could be used all the time, for everything, like itsapirateslifeforme. I don't have a formal dining room or storage, so lugging it up from our storage room, washing it prior to use and again afterward gets a little tedious.

The pieces also have quite a few nicks on them despite so little usage.

I have Ocean Breeze. I've been pleased with it - it almost seems indestructable. But after all the years I've had it - 11 or 12, I think - I'm getting a little tired of it. I think I'm ready to start looking for something new.

I will say that I think the quality isn't as good in recent years as it was when I originally bought it. The pieces I have gotten since they moved production to China just don't seem to be as good. A couple of them have discolored under the glaze and a couple have broken. My original pieces are all in great shape still!

I have Pfaltzgraff's Tea Rose pattern.

Me too....had it for 23 years now....and a lot of extra pieces too. I love it.
But when we move to AZ, I want something brighter with more color to it, so am looking at Pisolet, perhaps. I would still keep the Tea Rose for extras though.

Heirloom. A lot of heirloom. My bridal shower was almost comical. Look, another piece of Heirloom. Serving & baking pieces too. I even have matching silverware. lol

I still like it today. 20+ yrs later and the plain color still goes with everything. We just updated our kitchen and it fits in perfectly still.

Its held up really well. One baking dish finally cracked after too much use. And cookie jar lid rolled off counter & cracked. We were able to replace the lid in one of their refiring specials. There are just sooooo many pieces available with the old patterns.
