Do you have a park you have to hit first?

For a long time, it was AK. Now that they have late things, it will be either Epcot or HS because those are my kids' favorite parks.

Has to start with a morning in MK and end with a evening in MK and Wishes!

We start with first day MK, love walking down Main Street and first glimpse of the castle! First night Epcot though because we love Illuminations!
Last day usually MK and same thing the night at Epcot!

we started and ended our one and only trip with MK... but we stayed at the contempo so it was an easy default

next visit is yacht club (with park hoppers) so i expect epcot and epcot might be our route...

Gotta be Magic Kingdom first! Tried to change once but my spouse had a fit. It's now considered "tradition"! ...and we have to hug after entering through the right hand train tunnel. Kinda sounds like we're in a rut, doesn't it?

We are staying in December at CR. Love being so close to MK.

Yacht Club should be a blast. Hoping to stay there next spring. I think having the access to Epcot will make for a fun trip. Enjoy yours!

Not a rut. I think of it as a "tradition" too.

Ok. I'm betting this has been pontificated on the boards before, BUT..... Which order do you like to visit your favorite park? Do you have a park you have to visit first thing on your first park day?

Or, do you like to go to your favorite park later, to save the best for later? Just wondering other Dis folk's schools of thought. For me, it is MK. I must go "Ahhhhh" when I get there and can settle in to the trip.

I'm planning a December visit and may switch it up a bit. Not sure if I can though. (Tough life, I know). I would love to hear how other's think. Also, if maybe you have no preference whatsoever. Or maybe I'm the only one who has thinks of these crazy things.

I do MK and then MK then MK then the other 3 parks in one day then MK then MK

can you tell what park I like the best?

Well, I am going to add to what just about everyone else has said. We always start with Magic Kingdom. Our first trip, it just kind of happened that way. It is a good 1/2 day visit. Since we always want to spend multiple days at MK.

We tend to start and end with the MK. There is something about seeing the welcome show and the first glance of the castle when walking on Main St that just starts are trip off right.

However, our upcoming trip in September will start with EPCOT simply because of timing for F & W.

For us, it's MK, but this year we have a later flight, and ended up with late ADRs in DHS!

We actually do it a little different and attempt to avoid MK (but will jump in depending on time)..

Before we moved here, it was more what do we need to do early on before they close it down. we've been traveling when many favorites are about to refurb or go away so we start with that attraction so we have room to circle back and enjoy it again..

When it's not about a specific attraction, it's about a good we're back table service dinner. We do mostly lower cost meals the whole trip so we save up the big heavy table services for when we're a little tired, sore and ready for it. We love starting at 50's prime time. You get that atmosphere that is very disney with at home favorite food that really hits the spot like we made it.. Almost like traveling a distance to see grandma and that first meal that says you made it.. Also with the stuff going on with construction, it fits us well as there is only really 2-3 ride and the fireworks we want to also see there. It's a wonderful way to spend the afternoon and evening of your travel day..

We also try to avoid MK the first day or two if possible. Other parks just feel like disney gave up when we do them after mk.

For the kids' first trip we did Epcot and AK first (skipped DHS) just because I was afraid they would find them disappointing after MK. Although DS6 said that Epcot was her favorite anyway. This year we did MK first just because it was a Sun. No real order although both years we ended on MK.

Our first park will change according to what we feel like planning based on arrival time as well as crowd calendar recommendations. However, we've made it a tradition to spend our departure day at MK. We love getting one last bit of Magic before we go back to our first home.

Magic Kingdom is our first park. We've tossed around the idea of going somewhere else first but somehow MK always wins out. Last trip I did shake things up a bit by getting my family into MK to go on Splash while I rode the monorail to Epcot to get a specific toy in the World Showcase. My first official in-park ride was still back over at MK, though. After that we usually go with whatever best fits our schedule.
