Do you have a nickname for your DH or BF?

Well if he ticks me off it's Jack, short for Jack...

He has nns from his family because his name is John so he was Johnny Appleseed or Oatmeal (?). I would call him Seed or Oatmeal for the longest time. Mostly I call him Hon or Gilly for the Gilly Monster.

He sometimes calls me Pumpkin but we call ds that now since he would answer to that name. Now he mostly calls me Hon or Doll.

Hubby's name is Joe, but I call him Homer.

He is a crazy Simpson's fan, like I have 200 action figures mint in box in my house. I couldn't call him Bart, because Bart is a kid. I don't watch the show so I don't know all the character names. Krusty scares me. Homer just sort of fit. It works best in large crowds. If you call for Joe there are many, but Homer is a bit less common. I have called him that for like 10 years. I think he likes it! Freak!

He usually dresses up like a Simpson's character for Halloween every year. My favorite when he was Marge, with the 3 ft. blue hair and halter dress. Good times. Normally he sticks with a guy, police chief, or the town drunk, etc.

DH is Snuggle-puppy. I am Cuddle-bunny.

Sometimes I will shorten it to just "snugs".

My nickname for my husband is "Pants." He calls me "Angel Eyes."

That is so funny! My DH and I call each other "Pants" too!!

I swear I thought we were the only one that used that nickname! We use it for our son...in fact, we call him that so much that even his teachers call him that when they want him to pay attention!!

DH and I have lots of nicknames for each other, but the most common for him is Bear. I even have a little teddy bear holding a flower tatoo on my shoulder
However, we have lots of terms of endearment that occasionally go very wrong.
One time he wanted to call me honey buns or something, but it came out bum head. Nice. I picked on him forever about that one!
A few weeks ago we were being couch potatos on a rainy Sunday and I started to say something like love lump... but it came out Love pump... He walks around the house now pressing his head and pretending to be a bottle of liquid hand soap.

Well one of the more unusual is Mr.

Kinda stuck after I yelled hey Mr. and he answered with Mrs.

Told him I like being his Mrs.

When I am feeling snarky I call him Smoophie..that always goes over really well. I keep threateningg to call him that in front of his friends.

LOL that's what my parents have called eachother for as long as I can remember. My Dad calls us kids - even though we're grown now - our names with 'bear' at the end. My brother was never bothered by that, my sisters and I always hated it!

I call my dh Frumpy and he mostly calls me Frump (aren't we romantic). When I'm mad at him for being lazy or not doing something right, i call him my BIL's first name because he is such a waste of skin. When he acts all psycho I call him our crazy neighbors first name.

We don't share ours because they don't make any sense. Especially mine as it has a masculine form to it.


I've found that you can't just come up with a name. It has to be born from a situation. In your case, you husband should now be Sparky and that's that.

More embarrassing... I just realized while reading your post that although we do call each other baby most of the time we also refer to each other as mommy and daddy when talking to our cats, like "daddy's home!". Oh wow that's bad right?
