More than likely this has already been posted, but I am bored at home and thinking about my camping trip reservations that I need to make (book now or wait until tomorrow mornings sale with possibility of my site being booked), and just thought I would start a fun thread.

Do you have a traditional meal that you and your DL gang must do eat trip? Regardless of being first meal, last meal, any meal at a specific restuarant, etc.?

My family has 2 traditions, we must always eat at the Plaza Inn for our last day in the park dinner, and we must always have 1 character breakfast the day we leave to go home (unless we decide on Minnies, its first day in the park).

This is our third trip, and Goofy's Kitchen is a must for us. The first time, we just kinda booked it during our trip the next day. It was so funny, as we had NO IDEA what was supposed to happen. The Mad Hatter came to our table first and we kinda looked around, "Hey, it's The Mad Hatter". We didn't grab our camera, autograph book, or anything, and after a minute, he started looking at us a little weird. We didn't get it until we looked around and saw all the character interaction. By the time the next character came, we were more prepared! LOL

The second trip, I booked us at Ariel's Grotto and The Plaza, and paid for those with our package. But it just didn't seem right without Goofy's, so I scheduled Goofy's on the day we were leaving for breakfast.

This time around, Goofy's is the first one I scheduled. And it's going to be dinner on our last night there. I can't wait!!!

arrival day we always hit the jazz kitchen for beinet (not sure how to spell them but definitely know how to eat them:)

Arrival day -- we always have lunch at Carnation Cafe.

We always eat lunch or dinner at the Blue Bayou on our first full day there.

It wouldn't be a trip to Disney (land or world) without dinner at the Rainforest Cafe!

Our must do meals…a breakfast at Goofy’s Kitchen…a dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen, grandson’s favorite place popcorn:: …Lunch at the Blue Bayou; Monte Crisco Sandwich for DS :stir: …Dinner at Steakhouse 55: :grouphug: whole family tradition...
Dinner at Nape Rose; for DS DDIL princess: :stir: …Carnation Café; DW DH :earsgirl: :earsboy: tradition as far back as we can remember...AND a Dole Whip just for me... :goodvibes

We always do a Goofy's breakfast and on the first night we fly in we always have supper at Ralph Brennen's Jazz Kitchen in DTD.

May seem like a strange tradition, but our family always eats at WWS at least once, but usually 2 or 3 times on our trips. We love the quiet reprieve from the parks.

We also have dinner at the French Market at listen to the Jazz Band on the terrace.

Me- Begal BBQ, Whitewater snacks (Lunch)
DH- Storyteller Cafe (Dinner)
ODD- Character Breakfast
DS- Blue Bayou
YDD- Character Breakfast

Goodness, sounds like we eat our way thru the park:laughing:

A corn dog from the stand on main street on the first day and breakfast with Minnie and friends either on the next to the last or the last day.

We don't plan which day but our must haves are:

lunch at Blue Bayou
lunch at Plaza Inn
clam chowder bowl from Royal Street Veranda
chicken strips from Stage Door Cafe
corn dog from Main Street Corn Dog Wagon
lots of churros, a frozen chocolate banana, a carmel apple, a chocolate covered strawberry and a dole whip.

If the weather is cool, gotta have a white hot chocolate from the Market House.

Everything sounds so yummy!! Im getting a rumbly in my tumbly!!pooh:

Ours is getting (multiple--I had about 5 last time :goodvibes ) Dole Whips while listening to the pre-show at the Tiki Room.

I usually go to DLR just with my fiancee, so when we're alone this is what we do :

* lunch @ the Blue Bayou
* breakfast @ the Carnation Cafe
* lunch @ the ESPN Zone
* pickle @ a fruit stand :)
* cheese & jalapeno filled pretzel
* hot chocolate/coffee to go with fantasmic/fireworks
* dole whip during the afternoon when its hot!

One thing I haven't tried that is on my to do list is a Tigger Tail. The concept sounds a bit weird to me, but I'm always game for something new!
:goodvibes :thumbsup2 :cool2: :) ;) :wizard:

We're traveling from the East coast, so with time differences and a full day of travel, it doesn't make much sense to use one of the days of our tickets that first afternoon/evening. Two years ago we went to DTD to shop and then Goofy's Kitchen for dinner and it worked out beautifully. So...let the tradition begin...two weeks from yesterday until we'll be in repeat mode. Can't wait!

When we get there we go straight to the Market House and get a couple of coffees. Then we go across the street and get 2 pieces of marshmallow fudge. we sit in the hub and sugar and caffine up.
Later we get a couple of dole whips and some water.
Later we will get some fruit- pineapple spear for Dfi and Ill have the mango at the trading place? next to the jungle cruise.
Yep still room for more!
Later around dinner time, we will goto Rancho del Zocolo . I have the grilled chicken and veggies with a side of fruit and a half coffee half hot chocolate and Dfi will have just about anything else on the menu. he isnt picky.
On the way out we will stop back at the market house and get 2 more coffees on the way home.
And I have been known to buy about20 at a time those little fun pops in fantasyland.
Ah between the eating and the drinking, and all the rides all the senses are taken care of thank you!
You can truly eat your way through the parks.

The last 2 trips we've had breakfast at Carnation Cafe.
We always get a Cherry Coke and 2 jalepeno and cheese filled pretzels at the Coke Corner (seriously, the best Cherry Coke, ever).
2 pickles from a fruit cart.
Atleast 1 Dole Whip.
And a Tigger Tail..

That's more snacks than meals, lol, oh well!

Our annual NYE group trip includes lunch at Club 33. So spoiled, we are! :)

Beyond that... well, HusbandMan loves Taste Pilot's so we almost always eath there at least once. I am a total groupie for the hot link corn dogs. My son requires a Mickey bar with his grown up buddy JayJay. We have favorties but I don't know that they are really "traditions."

If staying more than one night (sometimes I go for just the day), we usually for sure hit: WWS, Cafe Orleans, fresh fruit or veggie stand and either one of the Corn Dog Carts. All favorites. And one fancy sit down meal outside of the parks. At DTD or one of the three hotels. I think we have tried them all!:)

We always have dinner at Storyteller's our last night.
