Do you have a hobby?

I was thinking that I might try to start drawing and painting again. I had to stop 4 yrs ago when I first got sick because my hands would hurt too much when I tried to use them. I think I might be able to do it now - if I am successful, maybe I'll post one.

I don't really have many other hobbies. I do have my pin collection and I love doing carpentry work which I also don't get to do much either.

How about you? What hobbies do you have? How did you get into them?

I design website as hobby. Also I write fanfic about voltron. I collection voltron toys and comics. I am waiting for the DVD's to come in 2004.

I love to read. I have also started doing machine embroidery as a hobby. Hoping to turn into a supplemental income business soon.

I crochet. I used to cross stitch and stopped when the fibromyalgia had me in so much pain I couldn't function but I got 2 kits at WDW this trip and will try to get back to it. Then of course I pin collect and collect snow globes.

I used to do all sorts of crafts - from needlepoint to woodworking - and I would sell the items at craft shows from Sept. to Dec. each year.. No time for that anymore..

I love to read - used to read 7 or 8 books a week - not much time for that anymore either..

I started doing scrapbooks about 2 years ago - but that's been put on hold too..

I've been writing to pen pals for about 35 years now - but have even slacked off on that lately..

So what do I do now???

Sell stuff on eBay and hang out on the DIS..

Bad, bad DIS !!!!!!!! :mad:

I collect Disney pins, but that has become an expensive hobby and hasn't been add to in a while. :rolleyes:

I'm also into the scrapbooking thing. Finished my first album a few months ago...DISNEY!

Still deciding what to do next. Whatever is started may have to wait so I can do my Virginia trip pictures! :teeth:

Heh. Too many to count. LOL!!

My biggest one is cats. I just love learning about my furbabies.

Close second is needlework, most specifically cross stitch and "counted thread" (similar, but more difficult). I've even started my own design company, and am working toward getting my first patterns purchased. :bounce:

Probly won't become concrete for at least a few more months, though.

Reading is another. Especially fantasy, light mystery, and science fiction.

Gaming -- board games, PS2 games, computer games... though I haven't done much with these lately.

Photography, especially digital.

A little bit of quilting.

Just started learning how to tatt (a kind of lace-making similar to crochet) last month.

I've done a ton of others that I haven't really touched in a while, though. Beading, crochet, plastic canvas, tole painting, ceramics, clay modeling, silk ribbon embroidery, silk ribbon dying, wire wrapping (for jewelry), gemstone faceting, stone polishing, rock hunting.....

I love to read, no time for that now with the baby!

My minor in college was photography, I'm putting that to good use now!

I love to do oragami but there isn't much you can do with the finished work so I stopped.

Now I'm into beading and made bracelets for everyone for Christmas.

Ah... hobbies. Those were the days. Now my only hobby is message boards.

I used to scrapbook, journal, & cross stitch. I haven't done anything artistic in years, well unless you stretch it and count my vacation photos.
