There may be a thread on this somewhere that I have just haven't come across, but I would like to know if you have a favorite tip to share with someone that will be making their first trip to Anaheim and Disneyland. This can be on anything, dining, hotels, touring the parks, DTD, snacks, just anything at all as long as it concerns a trip to DL and the surrounding area.

I have nothing to contribute now because I will be making my first trip this coming Spring, but maybe I will have something to share when I return.

So please, experts, share your favorite tips with us newbies.

This is not a little-known tip, but get to the park before it opens, so you can be among the first to get in. If you have a Magic Morning, use it (and get there before Magic Morning opens, and do Peter Pan's Flight first).

In most cases, you'll get more done in the first 2 or 3 hours that the park is open, than you will in the following 4 hours.

You can almost always (probably 99.8% of the time or more; I've only read two instances of people being given any trouble) use a Fastpass after the listed "ending" time.

Many on the board here have suggested mole skin, dr. scholls insoles, good wicking socks, good foot lotion with lavendar and mint; all of these will keep feet healthy for each day at the park. Sunscreen and lip balm, tissue, gum.
We liked having Disney gift cards to pay for just about everything there. Good deals for staying on site can be found at Costco. Use MM when ever you can. Whitewater snacks in the GCH has the best nachos, and other food to eat there, or take back to your room. We stopped twice on our way back to our room (PPH)from riding Grizzly Rapids. Enjoy your trip! Know if you miss something, just put it on a list for "things to do" the next time you go back to Disneyland! :lmao:

If possible, have a "runner" to gather everyone's tickets/passes to get Fastpasses as soon as they're available. We would send one of our teen sons to get FP's and as soon the time was up to get the next one, we'd have him run again. We'd gather them thru out the morning & early afternoon & then use them when the park is busiest...afternoons & evenings. We'd pretty much walk right on these rides.
***You don't have to use the FP during the one hour block of time listed on the ticket....anytime after that on the same day***

We also always got there before the park opens....if you have young ones, this is the best time to do Fantasyland....this area gets busy early & stays busy until closing!!

Don't forget about the First Aid Station- they are so nice there! We were going to have to leave the park b/c DS developed an ear infection the night before and the antibiotics and Rx meds his dr gave him just weren't cutting it pain-wise. At the last second I thought I might be able to purchase some tylenol in the first aid station- NOPE, they just gave me some for free and said if he didn't feel better soon to bring him back and he could lay down with a heat pack on his ear for awhile! They have a whole room with cots that is dark and quiet. So much better than having to leave the park for a couple hours!

And the Mother's Lounge if you've got little ones...all sorts of free baby items if you run out or forget! Plus, its nice, quiet and comfortable. A good place to take a break with baby if you need to get away.
