Does anyone here have a daily/weekly cleaning schedule? Would you mind sharing if you do?

I am trying to make one today, but I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around it. Thanks. :)

I do laundry, clean the bathrooms, empty the dishes in the dishwasher, change everyonespillowcases everyday.
Every three days I change sheets, vacume, vacume the dust off everything too, so I don't really dust..I dust with the vacume. I clean glass (I have a lot of it) once a week and the same for the kitchen floor and inside refrigerator.

Hardwood floors about once every 2 weeks (we take our shoes off at the door, and no I don't asks guest to take their off!).

Each season I do a heavy-duty cleaning, which is ceiling to floor, in each room and clean out closets, switch clothes around for the season and give extras to goodwill.
I clean the attic and help DH with the cellar once a year, you'd be surprised what you can collect in a year.
That's just the inside, outside is another story!

I cheat

Every two weeks someone comes in and does it for me!

I do the obvious straightening and putting away every day - along with the kids - they have to put their own stuff away.

Then I do the cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, etc.) 4 days a week. Depends on your house, but I do the kitchen and the family room on Monday, bathrooms and laundry room on Tuesday, kid's rooms (2) on Wednesday, and the master bedroom on Thursday. It usually takes me an hour - 2 hours, depending on the room.

I usually do a load of laundry every day to keep it under control.

Clean the entire house every Saturday (dust, vacuum, toilets, kitchen, everything you can think of)

Vacuum the family room daily

Laundry every 4 days

Sheets Every Weekend

I'll do it tomorrow.

Seriously, have you tried flylady.net?

I did not do well with flylady. I need to know what I am doing today, yesterday. KWIM? She can't tell me I need to clean the car today and then I will go do it. I don't work that way. :p

I did resubscribe and am skipping some of it and am working on my daily/weekly schedules/routines using her examples.

I am hoping once I get that in order that I can start doing hotspots and stuff. I just need a basic schedule right now. Otherwise I don't do it and it just piles up. :)

I'm also a Flylady dropout. The two things I like about Flylady are the morning/evening routines and the setting your timer for 15 minutes and cleaning --now if I would only do that. Let me know how you like your revised system. I desperately need something until I go back to work full time and can afford Carol A's system. My biggest problem is I spend too much time on the computer.

Yes, I am going to start doing those morning and evening routines. I also made one up for Avery. We do some things the same every night, but we need to start others like pick up her toys. Laying her clothes out and getting her backpack ready is a big thing for us. I started doing this and then I quite. It will halp make for a less hectic morning.

I'm curious about why someone would change their pillowcases every day ?

besides that I have a weekly cleaning service. I hate cleaning with a passion. Even when i was a "SAHM" I would work enough to pay someone to clean my house !

I do...its the only way I get anything done.

monday: dust

tuesday: vaccum

wednesday: clean bathrooms

thursday: clean kitchen

friday: mop floors

I'll usually change the beds on saturdays, laundry is done as needed. but this pretty well works for us and keeps the house looking neat. we pick up at the end of each day, which also helps. I have found that doing one chore throughout the house each day just makes more sense, takes less time, and is easier. at least, that is what works for me. plus this pretty much keeps weekends free.

I have read that it is done because of allergies. :)

Daily: Clean kitchen

Weekly: Clean bathrooms, vacuum, dust, do laundry (including ironing clothes), polish coffee table, and end table. Sweep kitchen/bathroom floors. (These weekly chores I usually spread over a 2 day period. My husband and I work fulltime, so we do our chores on Saturday/Sunday.)

Twice a month: Mop all vinyl flooring.

Good thing I posted this list! I'll have to print it out as I sometimes forget to do some of these chores...;)

I dont have a "cleaning day"

Monday's- bedding is washed

The rest of the days- well its as follows

Daily-
kitchen counters/stove/dishes/table
sweep all wood/vinyl floors in house
vaccum rugs
bathroom- I can't stand a dirty toilet- so it's done EVERY morning once the DD's and DH leave
Laundry

Nightly before DD's go to bed, they clean up their room. They also must fold and put away/hang their laundry every night as well. By doing it this way- they only have 1-2 days of clothing to put away.

Weekly- usually during the week- if I get home early and have time before the kids get home- or late at night while they're asleep
Mop floors
Dust
Bathtub/shower

Then- 1st Monday of every month-
Curtains are taken down and washed/ironed put back up, and mini blinds are cleaned- on windows- not in tub

4x a year- we do a serious clean- inside/outside windows, wash walls, vaccum ceilings etc.

Garage and basement are about 1x every 5-10 years LOL I'm kidding, but if you looked at them I wouldnt be!

I have this horrible habit of getting into a "cleaning mode" about 130-2am and go through the entire house...then I'm useless the next day cause I'm exhausted though!

I do most of my weekly cleaning on Mondays and Tuesdays and usually have a few small things left on Wednesdays as well. On Mondays I try to wash everyone's bedding (usually just put the same sheets/blankets back on the beds after washing them), scrub the whole bathroom, vaccume all the carpets and sweep and mop the kitchen/bathroom, clean the kitchen thoroughly (it's often messy after the weekend plus I want to clean the cabnets, fridge, microwave, etc.) On Tuesdays I try to dust the living room, my bedroom and the hall. I should dust the back room but it often gets neglected and doesn't get dusted every week. I like to sweep the front porch and sidewalk and adjust any decorations that are out. I also clean up my scrapbook area. And I try to get the groceries for the week that day too. I wash one or two loads of laundry and put it away every day except Sundays. The rest of the work I do is all mostly small jobs and I divide them up into three or four a day. None of them usually take me over 15 minutes each so it's not a big deal to have three or four of them over the course of a day.

Wednesday is my day off work, so it is the day I clean. I pick up the house and clean the kitchen counters, etc, daily, of course.
Thursday, I pay somebody to come clean the bathrooms and clean the floors. Saturday, I do laundry and outside chores. We have pets, and, at times, when I dust/vacuum, it looks like I need to start over as soon as I finish, so, I've learned to accept a little dust.

have you tried
organizedhome.com ?

I have looked at it. I need to get my basic routine down. Otherwise it gets really overwhelming for me. Then I can start doing the details.

I am good at pitching stuff and cleaning out closests. It's the day to day stuff that I can't get going.

Mine is pretty basic, daily I do laundry, dishes, make beds, sweep floors, clean toilet.

Weekly I change bedding, mop floors, clean bathrooms and kitchen thoroughly, dust, and anything else that needs to be done. I usually do all of this on Saturday, but ocassionally I'll do some of it in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. Mopping is one I like to do when I can't sleep, its not unusual for DH to wake up to find me downstairs mopping at 3 am. :p

About monthly I wash windows and walls, although as my kids have gotten older I haven't had to wash the walls as thoroughly as I once did.
