Do you have a carpet cleaner? What kind?

With a new puppy, we have decided to buy a carpet cleaner/steamer. Biggest problem is what kind to buy. Please share your knowledge with me. Thanks

We have a Hoover Steam Cleaner and couldn't survive without it.

It does the job when I need to do it - which is a lot of times when I least expect it. We just used it tonight when DS4 dropped a bowl of strawberries in the hallway. Worked like a charm.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I had the carpet professionally cleaned. After a while it needs more than my machine can provide. I just learned when I have a problem area I'm trying to clean, not to use any solution -- just hot water. I was told that once the soapy solution gets in the spot, if it doesn't come out, it will stain.

which is a bisell........we always put a dash of lestoil in it and besides cleaning the carpet .....it really gets some of the old stains out....we also use our cleaner on the light furniture ....that we were stupid enough to buy .......but it comes out clean each time we wash it too.....

I now have a Bissell. I have had 2 Hoover's in the past. They both work equally as well but I find the Bissell easier to use.

We have a Bissell pro heat. We have had it for about 5 years and it does a very good job.

Thanks guys. Any more opinions? We are leaning to a Bissell Pro Heat but still want help making up our minds.
