Do you hate returning things?

I dunno why...but I feel *weird* when I have to return stuff.

I bought a pair of GORGEOUS Coach sunglasses last Friday...but...after a week of wearing them...I think they just look too small on my face. (Why I couldnt' figure this out in the store is beyond me.)

I feel like I'm going to be grilled when I go to return them...I dunno why. I almost pray the girl that sold them to me isn't work there today.

Me too. Have books to take back (used) to the college bookstore. We were able to find them cheaper on line.We have until 9-6-05 to get full refund so don't know why I feel weird about it, but I do. will save at least 70 bucks taking them back!!

Good luck.

Cathy

Hate returning....hate trying on...I just want to look, decide, buy and leave.

LOL, just make sure you have your receipt and tickets and anything that came with them.
We get grilled about it too. We have to know if they've been damaged, or anything like that.

I don't know about that store policy, but I'm pretty sure Coach has a 30 day limit.

Oh yes.

I don't like returning things at all. I have some sippy cups that stated "dishwasher safe" that I need to return. I washed them in the dishwasher before I was going to use them. The bottom bubbled up on all 4 of them. They won't sit flat. So they are of no use to me.

Hopefully they will just take them back.

Wow, so in theory you could buy something, remove all tags, use for 30 days and return, as long as you have tags and receipts?

Hmmm, I think I found me a new hobby! :teeth: Just kidding.

I know! That's my biggest concern!

keep your fingers crossed for me...k?

otherwise...I'm screwed.

No, it doesn't bother me to return things at all.

I hate trying on clothes in the stores, plus they never look the same as when I get them home and try actually sitting in them. So I buy what I think will fit and try it out at home and return if they don't fit or look right.

I remember this one time before returns didn't bother me that I'd gone into a women's clothing store to buy a top and had mentioned to the sales clerk that a similar one I bought months prior to that had shrunk in the wash and I couldn't wear it again. She kept trying to talk me into bringing it back and was just totally insistent. That kind of changed my attitude about returns.

LOL, yeah, we have people with that hobby. After a certain point we can refuse to accept anything back, but it takes a while.

On the back of the receipt is says:

"New, unused merchaindise may be exchanged or returned at any coach stores. with an original coach receipt a refund will be issues in the orginal blah blah blah"

it's the "new unused" part that might snag me. Yes, I wore them the past week. but they still look BRAND spanking new.

it's not like i'm trying to pull one over on the store...I really think the glasses are too small for my face

ok - here's the thing.
they were SUPPOSED to come with a 'cleaning cloth'...i never got one...didn't notice until i got home.

Yes, I do. Especially from the Penneys catalog. Just too much hassle. I have a couple things I ordered a year or so ago (body shaper and a pair of shoes) still in the bedroom because I didn't want to deal with returning them. I know I should have gotten my $75 back, so it's stupid to feel that way, but I can't help it.

I've returned clothes to other stores occasionally but always feel funny when I do, even though they still have the tags and were not worn.

Don't think I could return something I'd used a week though, I just wouldn't feel right about it at all.

I hate returning anything! I don't buy anything 'questionable' just so I don't have to deal with returning it.

I think Coach will take the sunglasses back but you might only get store credit not a full refund. In my store that's what I would do when there was something questionable about the return. Do you still have the tags?

there were no tags on the glasses
she removed the glasses from the "plastic zip pouch" with the tag on it, put it in the "coach hard case" and that's how I got it. I do have my receipt.

grrr....I usually only buy things I love...and I do love these glasses...except the more I look at them...the more i think they are too small for my noggin'

I'll take a store credit...that's fine.

I wouldn't feel bad about this at all. The books are so expensive new. I actually got my math book for 80.00 and it was originally over 100.00. :)

Let us know how you make out, Stink.

I hate shopping in a store - most of my stuff is out of catalogs. I'd much rather have it sent to my home and if I have to send something back, I will but I absolutely, positively, HATE to have to search through racks and racks of stuff

They took the sunglasses back no problem.

I just said "My husband said they look too small on my face...gave me a stigma" she laughed and gladly credited my debit card. (Poor DH - always the scapegoat. heheh)

She was really nice about it...even offered to help locate the "next bigger size" frame-wise as they no longer had any in stock.

Then I went to the Gap and bought 2 pairs of jeans for $9.97. Seriously..one was on sale for 9.99 the other for 19.99...I had a $20 off "rewards" coupon. So - score - 2 pairs of jeans for under $10?

so sad...they really were pretty sunglasses...I guess I'm just used to the 'bigger' style glasses now
