After seeing a couple of you post about how much stuff you have earned, I had a question. Do you just click on the sites each day or do you actually buy online? I cannot afford to buy much of anything right now, so it seems like I will never get any goodies at the rate I am going (and I really don't want to sign up for offers where a credit card number is required - that makes me way nervous!)

Was just wondering...

Most all of my rewards 99% are from Clicking only.

I buy online but it is usually suh a deal that I forget to or am in too much of a hurry to remember to go thru a rewards program.

no not really.

I take one FREE or almost Free vacation to WDW per year.
I also pay for most of our Christmas and other gifts thru out the year with money earned.

I also fund a savings acct for my DS with any money earned from Pinecone surveys.

Hope this helps

Mal,

may I ask what your secret is? You said you just click and not buy? I have been clicking away for a long time and only have enough points on milesoure for a $10 certificate (that ain't gonna get me to Disney). Same thing with Blink. Am I missing something here? Don't have anyone I can refer to get points that way. sorry to bug you but am really trying to plump up the old wallet!!

Thanks

Amy

I don't have a secret.Wish I did and I do not have many referrals maybe one or two tops.I just checked MS and I have 3 referrals.

What programs do you do? I mean besides Blink and Milesource.

Granted it is alot slower than befor 9-11 but keep plugging away they will add up.

Also most programs allow that your hubbie/sign.other can also do them So sign them up!

Mal

I usually just click ... or sign up for newsletters ... but I know when I made a couple of purchases, the points really started to add up! But if there's a faster way ... I'd like to know too!!

Mal. (and anyone else)

I am doing Creationsrewards (just started), Mypoints (don't seem to be getting any bonus emails from them anymore so am getting almost no new points), blink and milesource. What can hubby sign up for? He can't do blink because we only have one computer, right? I have been trying to sign up for Disney awards, but can't seem to do it. Any other goods ones I am missing?

Even back when blink was throwing points at you, I only got enough in about 4 months to get a $10 webcertificate. Am I missing the boat here? Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry to interrupt, but my main source of getting points on Milesource and Blink is through clicking and referrals.

I do mostly clicking, and occasionally buying. I just made two purchases through MyPoints (one from Disneystore.com and one from Barnesandnoble.com), since they are running double points now for shopping. These were the first two on-line purchases I've made in a few months - I just don't like giving out my CC number if I can avoid it.

I pretty much only do the clicking. Once in a great while I will order online.

Creations is a very slow earner I have not done that one in months just got bored with it. Should start back and at least get to cash out.

You should sign up for some survey programs they usually pay cash or GC and are easy to do.

Join Disney Awards as soon as they are back up.

As far as Blink is concerned I only use one computer and both DH and I do blink when he has time which has not been alot lately. As long as you have a dial up and log off and do not do them within a hour of each other I think you would be fine.If I am wronge someone please let me know.

That is how we have always done it and with no problems.

Mal

On Blink, our family has 5 accounts, and when I was doing it all the time. I would just clear cookies and delete temporary internet files between doing clicks.

However, we have have all but quit blink. The length of time it takes for what you get is too slow. I am doing one family member at a time till I reach $5 cashout level, and I'm only clicking on anything over 5 points and/or with a slot machine. After that, unless the point values come up, I'll quit blink.

There are a few select things I will purchase, and mostly through MyPoints.

I always get the boys' contacts through 1-800-Contacts/MyPoints. At 750 points for a $19.95 purchase of one box. (That offer is good once a month) (I buy the left eye one month, the right eye, the next month, then do the other kid, etc., etc.) That's hard to beat. (I also get reimbursed for that $19.95 from insurance).

When the boys need cleats or baseball stuff, I always buy that through footlocker.com or sportsauthority.com and MyPoints.

I have also had some good success signing up and cancelling, Connections, Simple Escapes, 24 Protect Plus, and HomeWorks Plus. In addition to the points, I got a $25 Borders/Waldenbooks giftcard, a $50 Wal-Mart card, a $25 Kmart card, and a $25 Home Depot card.

On the Borders/Waldenbooks card, I bought the 2003 Unnoficial Guide. On the other cards, I used them to buy stuff we would need anyway, and then used an equivalent amount of cash to purchase Disney Dollars.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, everyone, for the replies.

How hard is it to un-sign up for something if you decide you don't want to go past the trial period? I am not going to sign up if I have absolutely no intention of keeping it, but if I truly don't see that the benefits outweigh the costs, is it a nightmare to get rid of some of the companies?

thanks again

Amy

It also seems really slow to me. I'm doing MyPoints, Blink, and Milesource. E-mails from MyPoints are coming very rarely. Things on Milesource don't work half the time. I've also purchased a few things or signed up and cancel (mostly MyPoints) and had to harass them into giving me the points. You would have to keep a log of everything you do just to be sure you got the points. Doesn't seem worth the hassle. How do you find these survey places?

Amy

sorry no help from me on sign ups I will not do them.Too scatterbrained to remember to canceled before I get charged.

I will post a list of survey sites as soon as I get a minute.

Mal;)

Mal,

You are singing to the choir about being scatterbrained! I half the time don't even know what day it is, so I am sure I would forget to cancel things. Those survey sites would be great when you get a spare moment (LOL). I always have an opinion!

thanks again everyone

Amy

I agree most of these programs are slow earners. I mostly only click. I have made exactly three purchases through reward program websites.
I now only do MyPoints. I made one purchase through MyPoints. It was from drugstore.com. They offered 500 points, free shipping for a $10 purchase. In addition, drugstore.com had a Dove promo going on, so I received a free velour sweatshirt for purchasing Dove deodorant with my $10 order. That was a deal too good to pass up. MyPoints credited the 500 points within the month.
On the other hand, I quit Milesource because the two purchases I did make I never received the "miles" for. I contacted them MANY, MANY times regarding this, and still have not received the points.
I do not sign up for anything I have to use my CC for, as I do not want any hassle either.
Regarding not receving bounus mail from MyPoints. I know when I initially signed up, I was not receving much, if any, bonus mail. I "updated" my personal information, changed my email address and that seemed to correct the situation. Don't know if this will work for you, MyPoints has slowed down sending bonus mail.
