Back in college mid 90s, we were close to manhattan so we used to go to the comic strip. We’d somehow get free tickets to go. It was fun. One of the comedians that we saw later became famous. It was Jim Gaffigan.
I used to go pretty often. My husband stopped going with me because he says I heckle when I drink.
He is on my playlist. So freaking funny. The only one to ever get me into a comedy club was Mitch Hedberg. I went to see him a couple of times. Sadly, he was a life and talent cut way too short.
I still quote him on a regular basis. Especially when I come across an out-of-order escalator. He is on my playlist. So freaking funny.

Me and my friends used to go alot. Now only maybe once a year. It's great having no clue who the comedians are, it's more fun to trying to figure out where they're coming from. I would've loved to see George Carlin live. Could you imagine if he was still here to laugh at us![]()
My DH took me to see George Carlin for my 21st birthday before he became an angry old man. Don’t get me wrong, anger can be and is funny (Lewis Black is a favorite) but he got to where he was just ranting in later years.
