I am debating whether or not to go to a haunted house this year. Are they worth it?
Which ones are your favorites?

Pros & Cons?

:wizard:

We are heavily involved in haunted houses and love them particularly the people that create them. They come in several styles, some more frightening that others.

Where are you located?

I haven't really heard anything about Colorado houses. But I found this website if you don't have it yet: http://www.coloradohauntedhouse.com/

We go to several in a good year. We're in the Dallas area which has slews of houses and we budget all year for it.

If you decide to go, have a blast. Be sure to treat the popular places like themeparks, line up early or get FastPass.

I'm weird about this...

I love going to haunted houses - the kind that are supposed to have real, "live" (lol) ghosts. I very rarely get spooked and long for the opportunity to have something supernatural jump out and spook me.

But I will never go to a Halloween Haunted House because people scare the bejeezes out of me!! :rotfl:

I have never been to one, I don't feel like embarrassing myself, cause I know I would stand frozen crying like a baby. My friend has been to them and loves them. We have quite a few around here, but the one she loved the most is the one in Fall River. If you can handle scarey stuff, go have a good time.

We go all the time! We love finding new ones to go to! We already found one in upstate ny that we are going to take a three hour road trip to next year!

Never. I have a strong "fight" response (fight or flight) and am more likely to punch someone that jumps out at me in the dark than to enjoy it. I've never enjoyed being scared and don't get it myself, but to each his/her own. I just don't find it fun. It just makes me want to defend myself. No clown mask wearing chainsaw killer is going to take me down without a fight. :)

Mind sharing where it is? Sounds like you might be heading just a little south of where my DD and her family lives.. :)

I like haunted houses - but not the Halloween kind.. They're too dark and it causes my claustrophobia to go into overdrive..

I love Halloween, but more the classis pumpkin/black cat/white ghost Halloween. I don't care for the kinds of things in those places. Just not for me.

I have a few times in the past. I think it's a waste of money because usually you run through those things in like 5 minutes.

We have a haunted trail here. Since it's outdoors it's not claustrophobic. It's scary and fun.

I grew up going to haunted houses with the family every Halloween. It's a great tradition.

Oh, heck, no!! I am the biggest wimp there is when it comes to scary stuff. I still get creeped out whenever I go to the Haunted Mansion at WDW! That's as scary as I can handle.

I agree with kim929- I would be the one in the corner, curled up and rocking back and forth, crying.

But it's just a bit too far to drive if we are not going inside!:rotfl2:

I like haunted houses but I don't like when the people that are in them have chainsaws. I don't know what it is but I am truly afraid of chainsaws, especially near my face.:scared1:

Last year a guy jumped out of a TREE with a chainsaw into the Hay ride! :faint:

Me too! I think the reason HM is one of my favorites is because its something scary that I can actually handle!

Dh laughs at me this time of year because I watch all the shows about ghosts and hauntings and then get spooked walking to the back of the house alone. :rotfl: No haunted houses for me!

I think we might be long lost siblings!! :lmao: I do pretty much the same thing. I love to read about ghosts and hauntings and stuff, and then I always freak myself out. I can't even watch Unsolved Mysteries by myself unless I mute the opening theme music.
