It is getting harder and harder to get gifts and the expense. I love my DS preschool teachers and this is our last year! He is off to kindergarten next year...So I have gift boxed bayberry candles with the reason behind them. I will also give them either a pointsettia or if I finish a decorated slate.
DD is in first grade and her teacher hasn't been teaching long so we are giving him a tie (wears one every day) and a book for the class room. I hope she picks out Polar bear expres....
Now do you give to the Art teacher? Gym teacher? library? music teacher?
We may buy a book to give to the library.

I did, though, make sure they all understood they shouldn't feel as if they must bring anything. My students have four teachers, so I'd hate to think of their families having any kind of hardship over gifts for them all.
I try to keep it small, usually around $10. This year I got her a ceramic snowsceen. It's very cute. I got it on sale, so that really helps. I also to the elementary bus driver. She is a getting a snowman mug filled with hot chocolate and the recipe. That turned I VERY cute, if I do say so myself.
Gift certificates to a local teacher store would be nice. They always need supplies.
