Know what I mean? I went to Walt Disney World with my sister just this past May, but I'm totally dying to go on another trip. I'm beginning to obsess on it a bit. Can't et it out of my mind. DH can't really go with me and sister is out until at least next May. I'm seriously thinking of doing a solo trip. I feel like a total addict.

It's weird, because during last trip, I even felt a little bored at times because I've gone often enough that I basically have everything memorized. I had a great time, as always, but I had the feeling that I've been going a little too often. I thought for sure my next trip wouldn't be for a couple more years (I'm not totally insane, I live near Disneyland and go there at least once each month).

Despite these feelings, for the last month or so I've been dying to plan another trip.

I do Disneyland solo all the time. I think a Walt D. World solo trip would be awesome.

I hear ya.

I am just back from a trip.

Oct 2004 3 days with MIL, SIL, BIL and kids- Fun but too many people
Dec 2004 10 days first Mother/Daughter(10 yrs old) trip YIPPEE!!
Nov 2005 10 days 2nd Mother/Daughter(11 yrs old) trip YIPPEE again!!
Aug 2006 9 days 3rd Mother/Daughter(12 yrs old) trip YIPPEE and again!!

So I have been there a lot in 2 years, I can relate. The 1st trip was a tease since we were with people and I learned then not to travel with too many of us.

The 2nd trip, 1st for me and DD alone... was PERFECT! No rain, 80 everyday... just perfect all around. Free to do what we wanted, fell in love with WDW.

The 3rd, 2nd me and DD trip, was great, but didn't capture the 1st perfections. It was cold and rained a bit too. But still awesome of course.

This last one, 4th trip but 3rd for me and DD, just back 2 days ago... and we really were ready to come home. We have been there enough that we knew just where to go and when. Seems we could do more in less time or something. We added renting a boat which was fun. We did free dining for the 1st time too. It was hot and rained a lot. I think we like winter better there LOL.

I dunno, we had our fill I guess. She is ready to start school so I think the timing wasn't great for us this time.

I dunno, I like planning it as much as going! Maybe that is an addiction of its own.

I think you are right, the planning of the trip is as much the addiction as the trip.

My first trip in Sept./Oct. 1999 was incredible (All Star Music). Everybody went (myself, DH, DS, her husband and 2 kids, my 2 parents), but we got along great bc we went our separate ways and only met up for meals. Much easier. Trip of a lifetime because I had wanted to go to WDW my entire life. The family finally made it when I was 35 years old.

Second trip came a few months later in May 2000. Went with sister and her 2 friends. Lots of fun. First time at Wilderness Lodge which I love!

Third trip was great too. Went with DS and her 2 kids. 1 week after Sept. 11th. Weird time to go, but had a great time.

Fourth trip was last minute trip with DS in June 2003. Had a great time because it was just she and I. Very easy to tour.

Fifth trip was my 40th birthday trip. Lots of fun. Went with friends and family.

Last trip, this past May. Already spoke about.

So that's 5 trips in 7 years. I love it each time, but it getting almost too familiar to me. I know Walt Disney World almost as well as Disneyland. It doesn't matter as much with Disneyland because it's only a short trip up the freeway, but WDW is cross country. Always a big deal trip.

I think of taking time off, but sure enough, a few months later, I want to go again. These boards sure don't help. Reading them kind of winds me up to go again.

My family and I have gone to WDW every two years since 2000. We broke tradition and went to DL in 2005 for the 50th year Anniversary. We had decided to sell our home in 2006 so there would be no trip. Well, we didn't sell the house (decided to expand/remodel) and we didn't go anywhere for our vacation. I guess that we had become so predictable that our friends were shocked that we weren't going. At any rate, all four of us are having major withdrawal symptoms!! Maybe I can finally convince dh to do the Disney cruise next year to make up for us missing 2006's trip.

I think that no matter how familiar the parks/resorts may be, for myself, there is no place that I would rather be.

I know I am going to have fun; "feel the magic;" experience first rate service; and just plain ol have a good time. There is so much to see and do.

Sure, it might be repetitive, but what isn't? It's kind of always ordering your favorite menu item...why risk not having your favorite?
